The biggest thing is Dr. Bailey wanted to pull out 5 of my daughters teeth. 3 of them were in the back, they are molars. These teeth are still baby teeth, however she never developed permanent teeth to replace them. She wanted to pull them all out and two of her permanent teeth in the front (one K9 tooth on the top and one K9 tooth on the bottom of her PERMANENT TEETH!!) I am so thankful that I ask questions and my gut feeling was to not pull her teeth out as suggested. I took her for a second opinion. The other orthodontist assured me my daughters teeth were very healthy (the root is very healthy also) and those teeth can last my daughter a lifetime even though they are "baby teeth". I am so thankful I listened to my gut feeling and my daughter still has her teeth. This lady takes advantage of people with Medicaid. It's awful. Because I questioned her she told me to get out of her office and find another orthodontist and that is exactly what I did. I am now having to pay out of pocket but at least my daughter has ALL of her TEETH!!! Do not go to this orthodontist she does not care about your children!! Not to mention they don't start seeing patients until 9 am and always take several hours for an appointment. Dr. Bailey does not even do her own consults. She will have her assistants do it in the hallway. This office is NOT professional AT ALL!!! The upfront staff is always friendly but the staff in the back is very rude, my daughter complained every time that the staff was rude to her. My daughter also told me the staff doesn't know what they are doing. The girl that was initially putting her braces on did them wrong and they had to be fixed by another employee. This was all around the worst experience EVER!!!

There have been several appointments where we were there over 2 hours for these 10-15 minute procedures. They overbook and do not care about their patients' schedules. I really wish it were as easy to switch orthodontists as it is any other doctor so that we would not have to go here anymore. My son will also need braces and, rest assured, Dr. Bailey will NOT be getting a new client from us.

Dr Bartlett only recommended what was needed to achieve those goals, which was one phase of treatment. We were never pressured to get more services than what was needed. My daughter is now a 12th grader and we are returning to Dr Bartlett to have her retainer replaced after 8 years of wear. The price is less than the quote received from her regular dentist for a replacement retainer. It's important for me to be able to trust that recommendations are based on what is actually needed and not on revenue.
