Shortly after complaining to the Pro Grass company about their workers urinating behind the garage.. at least that's what it looked like... and the fact that when they turned around it was obvious they were putting Mr Winky back in his hiding place; anyway.. after that complaint they started blowing all the yard debris onto my front porch area. This is sooooo unprofessional. I would not recommend Pro Grass for any business especially if there are young.. and older.. children running around.. which there are and were plenty when the obscene displays were happening. I cannot stress enough that I don't trust them and I'm certainly not recommending them.

To that point my last job came in $500 lower as "it didn't take as long as I thought it would." He gave me a soft bid right away and also took pictures of my yards so that he will have all the information he would need when I decide to go forward with this project in the near future (hopefully next year). I've had a fair share of hiring contractors, and it's almost always stressful. Quite a few of them don't even return your calls. It was refreshing to know there are still companies like Windwood that respect customers even during a very busy season. So, they deserve 5 stars! I know who to call next time I need a landscaper.

We had contacted around ten landscapers (at the peak season around late Spring) - only half had responded and only three came to take a look and given us quotes. Curb Appeal was one of them. Rick took the time to ask questions and was understanding in my vision of what I wanted to do with the vegetable garden. And he was able to work within my expected budget for the landscape project. Other contractors had only took a quick look and rarely followed up when I had questions. The project had met most of my expectations. When the project had some bumps, Rick was able to address my concerns. My suggestion when undergoing a landscaping project is to expect delays (especially during peak season). Originally, I was quoted for the project to be done within 5-7 days, but ended up being three weeks. But Rick was able to keep communications open to address the delays and reasons behind it. Also, the carpenters contractors that were hired to build the raised garden seemed to have rushed the wood encasing at which some parts were not perfectly aligned. Overall, we were happy with the project and I am making good use to growing our fruits and vegetables.

I rarely leave bad reviews, but what happened with Nicholas Gardenscaping deserves to be called…read moreout. My neighbours hired this company for landscaping, and in the process, Nicholas Gardenscaping crossed onto my property and cut back my mature maple tree--right down to the trunk. This wasn't minor trimming; it was complete destruction. That tree took over 40 years to grow and, in a single afternoon, they butchered it beyond recognition. What was once a beautiful, full tree that provided privacy and character to my backyard is now a bare, lifeless eyesore. There was absolutely no attempt to consult me before cutting branches that were clearly on my side of the fence. Any professional landscaping company should know better than to cross property lines without permission, let alone do irreversible damage. This shows a complete lack of professionalism, basic judgment, and respect for others' property. That tree was a highlight of my yard and a natural privacy screen. Now, it's just a daily reminder of the careless and destructive work done by this company. While my neighbors have agreed to pay for a new fence to help restore some privacy, that does nothing to replace what was lost. Under new management, led by Zach Nicholas, this company appears to be both unskilled and unprofessional. I strongly recommend avoiding Nicholas Gardenscaping if you value your property and expect competent, respectful service.
