Sometimes we run, sometimes we do different exercise circuits based on drawing playing cards, sometimes it's... you never know!!! It's always something special, which speaks to the massive amount of creativity and time Scottie spends to make this workout camp a value. If you want to add boxing to the mix, you got it 2 days every week. He also sets up weekend hikes, and limited time workout or dietary fasting challenges for folks to take an even more intense focus on their health. I love the coaches…read more(shout-out to Pedro, Vincent, Josh, and Amber!) and their enthusiasm and ability to push you past your mental limits. They're good about providing feedback on form, as well as provide alternative movements for people who just can't do a push-up (me). I love their strength portion where they will dedicate half a class to perfect certain moves, such as a hand-stand, or slow-mo push-ups, or push presses with increasing weights. These sessions allow me to focus purely on one movement and the technique to do things i never thought was possible, all in a safe and guided manner. The workouts are tabata-style and always quick and fun. 20 minutes in you're working up a sweat and 40 mins later you're wondering why you decided to torture yourself. And at the end, you feel so accomplished and proud of yourself! I would definitely recommend anyone to join their Zoom classes and reach out to them if your organization is looking for an on-site fitness program!

Now I have lots of moments strung together for a life lived Move LA reintroduced me back to fitness and gave me the confidence and knowledge to push harder safely. Operation Boot Camp is FREE every Tuesday night at GRAND PARK up until I believe September 10. Give it a shot, try it out to see if you like it, and if you do, which you will ...sign up for the monthly boot camp!! I just got done with the monthly boot camp and I must say, I've had the best workouts!! The trainers Scott and Allerga were both great instructors! They encourage you every step of the way and its never the same work out! They keep it fun and make sure you are getting the most out of your workouts and improving week after week. Its challenging however, doable for all and the time goes by quickly! I like this more then the gym because 1. I do not know what I am doing at the gym 2. Its outdoors 3. You have trainers to motivate you 4. The trainers will correct you on your form and make sure you doing the exercises correctly 4. You'll meet new people who wants to get in shape just like you ! It's such a positive workout and I was able to hit my goals! :)

    This boot camp is amazing. I don't exercise -- I had a gym membership for six months and maybe used…read moreit ten times, so when my friend suggested I join her for her second month of boot camp I guffawed. Wake up at 5 am to be at a workout by 5:45 am?! Well, I have to say, it was one of the best decisions I've made. Surprisingly, the early hour isn't that bad (OBC offers an evening workout if mornings are definitely not your thing) and with such a supportive group of instructors it's really not that bad. Scott, the team leader and instructor, is one of the warmest most supportive people you could ever meet, so having him lead boot camp actually makes it a wonderful experience. I was afraid he would get in our faces and yell, but he's actually a great, positive motivator. I was always the last one all session, but he would workout next to me and motivate me to increase my productivity and speed and push past the mental barriers I was facing. It may change with time, but there were four of us in class, with three instructors in training and Scott, so we basically got a person trainer each day. The other great perk is that you're basically working out five days a week, so if you're like me and not motivated to work out you're getting personal instructing pretty much every day (there are usually optional free weekend classes where you can bring a friend and weekend homework assignments). In an ideal world you would be able to stick with boot camp for a few months. My parents gifted a month of boot camp to me, so I was only able to do it for a month, but 30 days is a great period of time to develop better fitness and eating habits, so even if you only intend to do boot camp for a month this is still a great decision. I lost some weight as well as a couple of inches around my waist, hips, and legs; the real perk is being able to run up stairs without running out of breath and working towards my goal of running a 5k in four months. This is a great deal no matter what your fitness goals because you'll have the support and encouragement of the Operation Boot Camp staff with you every step of the way.
