I had always been a solid standardized test taker and achieved good scores through self-study with books from Princeton Review, but that approach did not work for me this time (likely due to me being out of an academic environment and out of engineering for 10+ years). A family member suggested I try a prep class or tutoring, and I'm so glad I did. I opted for the private tutoring with Steve (the founder/owner) because I felt it would be more effective for me given my specific GRE strengths and weaknesses, and I also thought it would be a more efficient use of my limited time. It worked great for me on both these points. The additional strategies and structure, combined with personalized instruction from Steve were just what I needed. In addition to very good instruction about the overall test and strategies for different sections, Steve added tremendous value by walking me through the diagnostic assessment for each of the 4 or 5 additional online practice tests I completed. This aspect of the test prep was hugely helpful, as it pointed out where I was spending too much time, which types of questions I tended to get right or wrong, where I needed to focus on answering faster but still accurately, and more. Overall, the weeks of tutoring, homework, practice tests, and reviews were excellent training that helped prepare me for the actual test; it was kind of like training for a marathon or other big event. In the end, my scores saw a significant improvement, and I'm thankful to Steve for the coaching and instruction and to everyone at the office for the positive encouragement throughout. A few minor things I think could improve the overall experience: 1/ I was caught by surprise on test day when a 3rd quant section popped up. I had read about the "experimental section" but had forgotten, and all of the practice tests had just the 2 Verbal and 2 Quant, so I had gotten used to that. I'm generally okay under pressure, but would have preferred no surprises in the actual test. This note is mostly for test takers to be aware, but maybe Sandweiss could also provide a little reminder about this during the practice test reviews, or something. 2/ I wish I had done another tutoring session just focused on the essays; in two of my test review sessions, Steve reviewed my Issue and Argument essays and provided useful feedback, but I did not feel as well-prepared on that section of the test. Perhaps an extra session on that would have helped me feel better prepared. 3/ This is nitpicky, but the office building is fairly old. Would be nicer if the offices were in a newer building with nicer facilities and more parking, but I understand this adds cost and all-else being equal, I'd rather keep the rates low and deal with an older building.

They had flexible scheduling, were easy to work with and the girls appreciated the sessions - there was no feet dragging when it came to appointment time. Hi everyone, This is…read moremy first review on Yelp. I took the LSAT five years ago and didn't get the score I wanted. Instead of going to law school, I found other things to keep me busy and when my score expired this year, I decided to try and take the exam again. After looking through the different potential programs, I decided on Blueprint. I liked the web interface and their ability to track your performance on different questions seemed like a good idea. I had no idea how right I was. The course was two months and took place at the University of Washington. The class size was small enough so that the teacher, Chris, was able to get to know everyone. Both Chris and the Blueprint materials effectively taught the Blueprint method for all three sections on the LSAT. Chris was a great instructor keeping everything relaxed and relevant (by using comic real world examples) but also structured and moving forward at a brisk pace. We took six practice exams, but the course also offered an extra 11 exams that could be taken on your own. If that wasn't enough, one of the real benefits of the Blueprint method was the website and the data analytics. The instructors have created a database of questions and classified them based on a type and how difficult they are. That way when you get something wrong, you can figure out if you're getting the same type of question wrong and then drill to get it right. I found it very useful in targeting which type of logical reasoning questions I was weak on and which games I was having trouble on. All in all, I was very satisfied with my experience at Blueprint.

This curriculum is cutting edge, cost effective, and it puts points on the board. Plus, it helps you to figure out your own learning issues. I ended up not becoming a student of his, because he and I agreed that it was not the best personality fit. So, please keep in mind that I am reviewing Bill from that rather limited experience with him. That being said, I am still giving Bill a 5 star review because I could tell that he takes French tutoring very seriously and that he puts his all into his tutoring sessions. I also thought that Bill was very prompt and professional in his communication with me. I would recommend only reaching out to Bill if you are ready to schedule right away (otherwise he may fill your preferred slot with someone else within 24 - 48 hours!) and also only if you already have an internet speed of 100 mbps or higher. Bill requires this internet speed in order to tutor someone via Zoom calls, because he wants to minimize the chances of tech issues such as freezing and dropped calls. This requirement seems reasonable to me, and it makes sense. My internet speed was 50 mbps when I first reached out to him, and shortly after Bill informed me about his internet speed requirement, I scheduled with my internet provider to come out and change my internet speed to 400 mbps. This was something that I figured was a good idea to get done anyway, even though I was already starting to get the sense that Bill wasn't the best fit for me personality-wise. The first available appointment that my internet provider had for me was one week after I called them. Well before my internet provider came out to change my internet speed to fit Bill's requirement, Bill had already filled the scheduling spot that I'd been interested in with someone else. None of Bill's other open spots in his schedule suited my schedule, and, as I have already mentioned, this was not a good personality fit, so I had a brief, pleasant, professional communication exchange with Bill in this vein, and Bill and I pleasantly wished each other well. Bill referred me to the L'Alliance Francaise for a French tutor, a solid and reasonable recommendation. The reason that I did not feel that it is a good personality fit is that I tend to be more laid-back (although I am very reliable) and Bill to me came across as extremely high-pressure, which I don't like and don't thrive around. I'm very self-motivated, and extremely high-pressure to me seems unnecessary, off-putting, and overboard. However, if you are more the type who either doesn't mind high-pressure personalities and/or needs a kick in the rear to get things done, Bill may be a perfect fit for you. Last note, Bill's schedule is almost completely full so he is in very high demand as a tutor - and he will let you know that! It's nice that Bill is in high demand. I think that how someone handles a bad personality fit speaks volumes about their character, and I thought Bill handled it well. A bientot and enjoy learning this beautiful language, whether it is with Bill or with another great tutor.

When I entered his studio for the first time, it was with great trepidation and doubt, but at the ripe old age of 45, I just couldn't put off approaching my dream of French fluency any longer. To my delight and surprise, Bill had me speaking within 30 minutes. Learning language with him is invigorating and exciting, and unlike any teaching experience I've had before. The lessons go by too quickly, it's such fun, and his firm but kind accuracy and explanations provide one with the sense of being saturated with content of the highest caliber.
