Never was the suggestion made that as it was only a hen why not put her down, she was treated as though she was an expensive pedigree. The clearance must be performed by a qualified vet and it is crucial that the protocol for this process is closely followed, otherwise there would be problems at the border control, and this is the last thing you really want!! Dr Nowosad consistently provides excellent service. He is always very professional, friendly, pedantic with the paperwork and helpful. Baron (our dog) remebers the place very well and always pulls strongly right to the very door of the surgery (!). Dr Nowosad's Clinique is easily accessible from the Calais Boulogne-sur-Mer motorway (Autoroute des Estuaires), and there is a MATCH supermarket just opposite his surgery with ample free parking space (important if you drive a large vehicle). To conclude I would strongly recommed making use of Dr Nowosad's services to anybody who needs to follow the PET-scheme before returning to the UK.

I took my Yorkshire Terrier Benji for his tapeworm jab for our return back to England. The Vet practice is very clean and the vets speak English. The lady who checked our dog was very through and gave him the required jab for our return back home. Our pet passport was also signed/stamped and signed as required. All in all an excellent service. Fast and efficient. Cost was reasonable too. Would recommend.
