His general advise seemed to be to just roll over while reciting Berkeley rent laws which are all available free of charge in a pamphlet from the Berkeley Rent Board. IDK, maybe its just that Berkeley screws landlords and he's giving sound advise which is to avoid a fight at all costs. I've been lucky enough to not have to test that hypothesis (fingers crossed). I can't speak to his acumen in fillings, contracts, etc...so take it as offered.
