They do have some interesting beer / spirits tastings now and again which you should try and fit in your schedule if you are in the area, which I think takes place on saturday afternoons. Enough about the beer. Even though their menu sometimes can feel a bit static it does change from time to time and the food they have on offer is usually of high quality. My recommendation is to try the mussels or any of the risottos since they have been the dishes that seem to be quite consistent in quality. Even though I really appreciate the fact that they offer a vegetarian alternative, since I don't eat meat, the quorn filets are usually quite dry. Go with a salad or another veggie option instead. Sometimes live bands (more in the line of a lone singer songwriter covering famous tunes) play but it is not something to write home about. They have screens were they sometimes show football and on certain days they do music quizzes.

After being turned away from 3 spots (1 was closed, 1 was out of buns, and 1 was out of meat), it was an obvious and easy choice - pub food, no reservations required, beer, and accepts AMEX. We got our table for 7, then took turns ordering from the bar. I got a local summer beer (which I mispronounced horribly, but at least one of the bartenders could speak American) and the fish and chips. Food is nothing special, but it is A-OK, and it arrived promptly. Beer selection was a good mix of classics and local specialties and is reasonably priced. There seemed to be plenty of locals enjoying the Thursday night weather, particularly with the large front windows open.

Bartender hardly even understood the meaning of a 'bottle menu' replying 'we change the selection so often'. Funny, I bet they change it as often in Gothenburg still they manange to give customers the service to read a menu. Other than that it is a cozy Bishops pub.

The food is above what you would get at a pub-style place, and the beer/whiskey selection is 5/5! Always something nice and new on tap you never have had (and I'm an avid untappd user), and the staff goes the extra mile in terms of knowledge and serviceability (which I don't get at other Bishops locations). Whisky selection is above and beyond, and the outdoor seating is complete with heaters and foldable roof for those rare sunny days.
