I only write this review as a fair warning to others: Don't come here. The first time I visited Barry's, I had a fine experience; everyone seemed friendly enough, I got around easily in the yard, and though I couldn't find the part I was looking for, I made a note to come back when I could. That was a mistake. I arrived at 3:30, under the impression that they closed at 5:30, as stated on Google and Yelp.
As I walked my toolbox up for inspection, I was rudely greeted by an older gentleman who quickly pointed out that they closed at 5:00. Seeing as how it was only 5:10, I didn't think it was a big deal, though I did apologize for the misunderstanding. To my apology, he responded by asking if I could read, pointing out that it says they close at 5:00 on their exit door... the same door that they keep open during operating hours, and can not be seen from the parking lot or while entering. When I explained that I had seen the 5:30 posted online, he quickly dismissed me as wrong, saying I saw the one in Alabama. I suppose my next mistake was double-checking my phone in front of him, because before I could say anything, he threaten me for taking it out, saying, "You better not put that in my face, don't show that to me." I tried to apologize again, at least to smooth things over, but he slammed the door in my face.
So I write this review to say, while the parts selection at Barry's is fine, there are plenty of alternatives, and I think you should look at one of those instead. What should have been a simple exchange of misunderstandings turned into an abhorrent attitude I have not had anyone take with me in a very long time. You won't get far in life if you treat people this way, regardless of who you are. While it may not matter in the long run, I can say with absolute certainty I will not be returning to Barry's U Pull It. Don't shop here if you value your dignity. read more
