A must visit museum for the vintage car enthusiasts! The sheer amount of signing and other small details is amazing. The vintage motorcycles, signs and automobiles make it worth the trip. They just added an upstairs bar and grill. I went around a few times and each time I'd see something I missed! Great place! I'll be back with friends

So, I'm not even a car person but it was a rainy day so I decided to check it out. Very cool seeing all those beautiful classic cars and memorabilia. Not only cars but vintage signs and gas pumps etc. Entire place is spotless and I'm glad I stopped by!

PROS: this is the best car museum in the entire area. They have all kinds of cars ranging from the 1930s to the 2000s. The price is low, staff is friendly, loads of parking, and many cars to see CONS: wasn't as big as I thought it would be. Took me 12 minutes to get through the entire museum OVERALL: if you love or even just like cars this is a stop you must take. Do not miss out on this place

If you're an antique car enthusiast, spontaneous, or adventurous, then this place is for you. I really don't know much about classic cars, but I was visiting the area, and my lovely cousin treated me to Barry's Car Barn to take a look at the cars. That's where the spontaneity comes in. The cars are beautifully kept, even after so long, which is pretty amazing. I had a fun time taking pictures, reading, and learning about the cars. It felt like we were in a different era.

It was nice. Like a big garage with about forty cars. A few early motorcycles mostly Indian. The cars were immaculate. Some late model stuff but mostly vintage. Not really worth$13 for adults but I understand you gotta keep the lights on. Liked the old style had pumps and a nice wall of model trains too.

Super cute place! We sat at the bar and the bartender was super helpful. Didn't realize they had such an extensive menu so sadly we had already had lunch but our order of potato skins was delicious and great presentation. Might suggest better signs downstairs on outside of building of where to enter for the restaurant- maybe some big arrows painted? the downstairs is the car museum and it looked pretty amazing too! It's a great place to visit, don't miss it! read more

I am glad I found this place! I'm a car lover and visiting this place was ideal. The guy that works at the main lobby was nice and knowledgeable about cars! I enjoyed the selection of cars. They also have some cool merchandise to purchase. read more

Very nice place especially for car enthusiasts. Neat, clean. I wish they were open on Sundays. $14 is a bit steep price, just to look at few rows of cars, some of which are very similar to each other. I wish there were few that were open for people to sit inside or at lease had doors open so it is easier for kids to see inside. read more

Nice little collection of immaculately maintained cars - mostly Detroit muscle, dominated by Mustangs and Corvettes. Was lucky enough to be guided by Barry himself whose love and encyclopedic knowledge of his collection came thru with every step. read more

Small but mighty. Gives you an idea of cars used to be in their fully restored glory. I liked looking at all of the cars and even a few motorcycles along with gas station and sign memorabilia. read more

It's right…read moreon a corner intersection type of thing and has no parking lot so you can either park in the candle store (forgot the exact name) parking lot which is across the street to the side or park in the Kitchen Kettle parking lot and walk on over. For the small space, there's a lot of items. We spent about 45 minutes in there. Admission is $5 per person and credit cards are accepted. My boyfriend thought the place was amazing because of the huge collection of items displayed. You are free to take as many pictures as you want which I thought was very nice. The owner is very knowledgeable and will answer any questions you have. From what I recall, I think he told us he's been collecting these items for 70 years or something!

I visited the First National Bank Museum this past Saturday and had a great visit. The building is…read morelarge and historic - and it served as other things before the two front corner rooms became the First National Bank of Columbia in 1864. The bank rooms have been preserved, and you can see the walnut paying and receiving teller cages, the walk-in vault, and many tools used by employees of the bank. It was really cool to see and explore the bank. I learned about the history of the building, the bank, and Columbia through my guided tour of the museum. But what made my time at First National Bank Museum extra special was Nora. If you want to take a tour, you go to their website and send them an email requesting a tour. Nora is who will email you back to arrange a time for your tour. And she's great. Nora's parents bought the building when it was for sale back in the 1950s. Her parents knew that it was very likely the building would be torn down and the building lost to history, and so they took it on themselves to protect it. Nora grew up in the house (only the front two rooms served as the bank, but the rest of the building was a house or hotel at various times), and now she and her husband operate the museum and are continually taking care of restoring different parts of the building (right now, they're working on restoring the front doors). This personal story of a family's dedication to preserving history and sharing it with visitors to and residents of Columbia really moved me. Not only is Nora a very personable and knowledgeable guide around the small museum, the museum is her family's history and that makes it an incredibly personal tour. If you're in Columbia, I recommend trying to include a visit to the First National Bank Museum. It's a great way to learn about and explore Columbia and its history. And you'll get to spend some time with the lovely Nora!
