The architecture of the building and views of I-75 let you relax and study peacefully. A HIDDEN GEM! Security is nice to everyone and maintenance hardly cleans and sit on their phones because the building is literally empty sometimes. It has a bookstore, many area's that you are able to sit and study, elevators, advisors, student life and a Subway. The classrooms are nice in size and usually will have a view of the highway (I-75) as it was built right next to it. There is plenty of parking and campus security is not to big on having a parking pass for this location. The science labs located on the fourth floor are state of the art and are shared between FIU and Broward College. There's also free Wifi for students. The building is extremely clean (as it's new) and currently they are still adding amenities for students to enjoy learning here. I would recommend coming here for classes (primarily business and general education courses) and to lose the craziness that is involved with going to the bigger campuses!

Anyone who is in nursing school or has friends/relatives that are in nursing school knows it takes a lot of hard work, that it's time consuming, and you need to have a great support system but this school gives you all the tools you need to succeed! I looked into all the schools in Florida and I used to attend Barry University's nursing program for two years and transferred here and I love it. It has amazing sim labs, classes offered on different days and different times to work with your schedule, and teachers that really know there stuff!

The lack of help for students paying thousands for a class is sickening (traveling professors who reply here and there), there is false advertising, they promise "accommodation" help by email and never follow through, they have an unrealistic passing score that they bump up ever so slightly to make you complete the course again (for profit school) and overall do not care if you fail! MAJOR red flags here!!!! They also do not help you once so ever with placement for practicum. You are on your own- and you are expected to find time to know this all by reading every sentence of the syllabus. Please, know that if its super easy to get in here, its for a solid reason.

The campus beautifully integrates lush greenery, open water views, and shaded walkways, creating an environment that feels both energizing and peaceful at the same time. What makes the experience especially unique is the architectural diversity. The blend of Art Deco influences, Brutalist structures, and modern design elements creates a refreshing visual rhythm throughout the campus. Each building feels intentionally placed, elegantly portrayed, and connected to its surroundings, allowing nature to become part of the design rather than simply a backdrop. A highlight of the visit is the Lowe Art Museum, which encompasses a thoughtfully curated selection of both modern and historical works. The collection feels balanced and accessible, allowing visitors to move naturally between different artistic periods and styles while maintaining a cohesive narrative. The best way to experience the University of Miami and the Lowe Art Museum is by walking the grounds on a fresh Miami day. The gentle breeze, filtered sunlight through the palms, and harmonious architecture make the visit feel less like a tour and more like a relaxing cultural escape. Ps. Easy access from the Metro Rail UM station... The result is an inspiring setting where academic life and aesthetic beauty coexist effortlessly, encouraging visitors to slow down and truly appreciate the space.

He donated the land and money with the mission of bringing a higher education institution to the growing South Florida community. The college adopted the nickname Hurricanes in memory of the devastating 1926 storm that hit the area just as the university opened. After the land boom bust the college struggled but it experienced significant growth after WWII. Their football program boosted them to national prominence leading to academic expansion. and they celebrated their 100 year anniversary last year. The University of Miami spans 240 acres on the main Coral Gables campus. It has a strong albeit expensive academic program including a medical school. Their colors are orange, green, and white representing Florida's citrus industry. The mascot is Sebastian the Ibis. The campus is park like with large trees, the man made Osceola lake from the 1940's in the center, and 1920's architecture with the oolite limestone Coral Gables is known for. I have visited the Lowe's Art Museum on campus and the Gifford Arboretum in the past and most recently I came for the Beaux arts Festival now in it's 75th year. Now could not be a better time to visit since UM is in the College Football Playoff National Championship against the Indiana Hoosiers. They have won five football championships since 1983 and we are hoping for number six. To make the famous UM hand gesture hold up your hands in front of you palms out and put your thumbs so they are touching and your hands form a U shape. UM fever has spread throughout the entire city of Miami with events happening in conjunction with the big game all weekend long. The highly anticipated game takes place Monday night. Go Canes!

I especially want to thank Professor Ms Lana Palacio for her patience, dedication, encouragement, and passion for teaching. Over these past months, she not only educated me and my classmates, but she also believed in us and pushed us to become confident in ourselves and our skills. Thanks to the education and externship experience I received, I was able to get hired full-time with a great pay opportunity immediately after externship. That says a lot about the preparation and support provided by this program. Nothing comes easy, but if you stay focused, work hard, and take the program seriously, it can truly open doors for your future. I'm grateful for the journey, the memories, and the people who helped shape my path in dentistry.

I was advised to take the Wonderlic and HESI tests to apply for the dental hygiene program, then immediately charged $100 once I passed, just for the application. They also insisted I pay $10 to have my transcripts sent through their system. When I mentioned I had most of the required pre-requisite courses because I already have a bachelor's degree, Aileen never told me that credits older than five years wouldn't count. This didn't make sense to me, especially since I hold a college degree. As a result, I would have to pay $80,000 for the entire dental hygiene program--money that I could've saved had I been given the right information upfront. The whole process felt disorganized, and I spent so much time studying for the HESI test unnecessarily. After I realized the program was going to cost so much more than expected, I requested a refund for the $100 application fee. Aileen ignored my calls and emails, but when she wanted my money, she was always quick to respond. I eventually had to track down someone else to get my refund. This school cares more about collecting fees than actually supporting students. I would strongly advise staying away from this place. There are much better, more transparent options out there.
