I had a very disappointing experience with Chamberlain University's clinical process. The lack of guidance was a major issue: I was required to locate my own preceptor, and once I did, the approval process was extremely cumbersome. The school uses multiple disjointed systems, so I had to fax paperwork repeatedly. This made no sense since they could access my vaccination records directly in their system (Complio). And in 2026, relying on fax machines is completely outdated. Additionally, the immersion labs were poorly scheduled. They forced everyone to travel to Chicago during one of the busiest weekends in the U.S. for soccer, rather than using the available site in Florida. This felt like a blatant money grab, and the school didn't seem to care about students' financial or logistical burden. Overall, the clinical process was inefficient, outdated, and felt more like a profit-driven system than a supportive educational process. I hope the school modernizes its approach soon. read more

After completing my bachelors here, I decided to go back for my masters. That was a huge mistake and I advise everyone to go elsewhere. The lack of help for students paying thousands for a class is sickening (traveling professors who reply here and there), there is false advertising, they promise "accommodation" help by email and never follow through, they have an unrealistic passing score that they bump up ever so slightly to make you complete the course again (for profit school) and overall do not care if you fail! MAJOR red flags here!!!! They also do not help you once so ever with placement for practicum. You are on your own- and you are expected to find time to know this all by reading every sentence of the syllabus. I'm currently in collaborative healthcare class, the school relay information last minute and expect student to drop everything. I don't know the exact number of instructors and SLS' are still working at this campus, but when I attended this location there were five amazing instructors and two SLS' that actually cared and wanted to help the nursing students. By the time I graduated, last year, two of the instructors left, as well as one SLS had transferred to another campus out of state. There are some truly awful instructors that made their way into the vacated instructor leadership positions from the two wonderful instructors that left, as well as a couple handfuls of decent and helpful instructors that left. Not only were instructors actually walking out and leaving immediately without two weeks notice, one of the deans and a few other front office leaders no notice quit. The dean position was immediately filled by one of the amazing instructors and a vague email was sent to the campus letting us know who the new dean was and that some cohort classes were going to be combined together creating a higher classroom ratio until they were able to get the empty instructor position filled. The instructors that truly cared were all about ensuring their students understood the material, reached out to students that were in danger of failing their course, and helped the students that reached out to them for help. They actually taught the class, not read the PowerPoints word for word only--there is one instructor that will not deviate from the slides and if a student raised their hand to ask a question or for clarification on what was said the instructor's reply every single time was to look it up in the book because they aren't sure of the answer. Yes, nursing school is a lot of self teaching, but when an instructor won't answer questions in class, won't stay after class to take questions, replies to student emails within the required time per school policy without addressing anything in the email, it's ridiculous. One instructor completely ignored me--my text messages, emails, and pushed me to voicemail when I called--when I got my final grade for the class and saw just had failed. There were points given back on the final exam and I would have passed the class, but she only gave points back to select students and not the entire class. She ignored my attempts for the three days students have to talk to their professor about grades, which were the three days left of three session before grades were finalized. I could have appealed for a review of the final grade, but I would have had to sit out two months and wait for the next session to start. Tuition is extremely high and was raised right before we got into senior year. There are activity fees charged to all Chamberlain students each session, whether the campus offers what the charges are for or not--which was raised more than once in three years. The Atlanta campus is an example of proper use of fees for campus activities, Miramar offers a couple recliners in a small office space they call the Zen Den. Before applying, look at every single option available to you and make the best decision. Dont believe everything they tell you during the application process. You are talking to salespeople, their job is to do whatever they can to get you to apply so Chamberlain can get your money. read more

This place is a racket. The checks will cash instantly. But don't expect them to answer a call if it's not about financial stuff. My wife had just finished all her classes for her np. She is to start clinical Monday. After all the time, approvals to start clinicals, leaving here long standing position at her position of 10 years, and cost of the program, she has had the rug pulled out from her 1 day prior to the weekend when starting clinicals on the following Monday. As the rest of the reviews have stated, there is zero help from this so called university. They get your money and hang you out to dry. Anyone else that has had this happen I'd suggest contacting legal support. Instructions of classes are horrible. Test and exams are given and never returned. So if you do bad on a question you will never know what you did wrong. Teachers lack teaching skls. What is taught is not what you get tested on. You will pretty much be self taught. read more

If I could give this university zero stars I would. The whole enrollment process was horrible they hounded me down for my Social Security card due to FAFSA issues. About 4 representatives asked me to send my Social Security card to their email instead of updating it to a secured Chamberlain portal. The enrollment representative retired in the middle of my enrollment and everything went downhill. They are so understaffed every time I have called the school no one answers the phone. During the enrollment process I did everything that they asked me to do just for them to come up with another excuse on why my file was not complete. I was supposed to start class February 28, 2022 and because of their mishap they were trying to make me start in May 2022. The school and the process was so unorganized and unprofessional they literally just want your money! After I gave them all my PERSONAL information For some odd reason they said my financial aid did not go through and they will put me down as a cash payment which I did not agree to! I know for sure that I am eligible for financial aid but they just want the money directly! If possible stay away from the Miramar campus! Also the representatives that work at the Miramar campus works at the Jacksonville campus be careful on which school you choose to put your time, energy, and finances towards!!!!! read more

They will guide you and hold your hand until you register. After that, you're in your own. They are under staffed, no one answers the phone when you really need them, and they only call back when is already too late. Makes you lose faith in the school, makes you feel that you are alone and have no support, and they over load you with homework, enough to keep you seven days a week with just 3 hours of sleep a day, if you're lucky! That isn't healthy. You will gain weight if you don't make tome to exercise and meal prep. You will be constantly tired and cranky due to lack of sleep, and you might even develop a blood clot for seating all day in front of a computer with only a 10 minutes break, and yet, they expect you to succeed, when you have two jobs, and family to worry about as well. They claim to be Military friendly, well, not really. They will help you to their convince not yours. Is their schedule not yours, regardless if you have orders or funeral Honors to attend, some teachers just want to turn in their grades early so they can enjoy their weekend, and it doesn't matter if your whole future will be ruined due to one stupid assignment not turned in on time. I think that for a Nurses program, there is an extreme lack of compassion and communication. They definitely need to improve on that. The NCLEX pass rate is good, and I passed on my first try with 75 questions but if I'd had to pay for all of the schooling I'd say not worth it; thankfully I worked 9 years to have my school fully paid for. Way too much money for those who have to rely on financial aid or pay out of pocket though. Also know of a few instances where a Professor was reported to staff for being inappropriate towards students and saying suggestive things yet nothing was ever done, despite multiple reports. The only positive thing I can really say is the small handful of Professors there that are good, are REALLY amazing. It's just sad that those aren't the majority. read more

This is the worst place in the world! The instructors are great but there is no structure in the school. All they want is your money! Every question and every concern is taken up with the Dean of the school so don't expect anything to be resolved immediately (from test questions to formatting of essays)! They have extremely short deadlines for completing certain tasks so if you have a job or a family (or a life!) this is not the place for you. A lot of students will tell you the same thing! This school is amazing. They really make sure you learn all the concepts and tools you need to pass your NCLEX and be an amazing/competent nurse. Anyone who is in nursing school or has friends/relatives that are in nursing school knows it takes a lot of hard work, that it's time consuming, and you need to have a great support system but this school gives you all the tools you need to succeed! I looked into all the schools in Florida and I used to attend Barry University's nursing program for two years and transferred here and I love it. It has amazing sim labs, classes offered on different days and different times to work with your schedule, and teachers that really know there stuff! read more

I don't know why others have left bad reviews about Chamberlain, but my experience was VERY different & I apologize to those that didn't have a good experience. Coming from another nursing school, Chamberlain was a breath of fresh air. The staff is extremely caring and wants you to succeed. The students are also for the most part interested in your success & towards the speciality classes, everyone becomes family. Especially since the class sizes are small. Like any other nursing school, it will be tough and you will have to self teach yourself. But the great thing about Chamberlain is that they have so many resources available you just have to ask! I recently graduated December 2018 and passed NCLEX on my 1st attempt so everything that I am saying is fresh and accurate. At Chamberlain, you are never alone. You just have to also have a go-getter attitude and you will succeed. I will definitely keep recommending Chamberlain! :) read more

I have been a nurse for 7 years, finally decided to go back to school to have more options. I have been a student at Chamberlain for 1 year. They accepted my GI Bill as payment and when my benefits ran out, I was easily able to continue making payments without hassle. The teachers are amazing! I have had more than one professor go above and beyond to make sure I succeed. I am now enrolled at Chamberlain for the MSN to Family Nurse Practitioner track, and in 2 years will be on my own. I recommend the school, and recommend Jeffrey Grimes as your student advisor! He's my lifeline, any question I have had he knew the answer to! read more

I could only rate one star but if could rate no stars, that's exactly what it would be. 0 stars. I have been with chamberlain starting my BSN program three years with them due to paying out of pocket because I used up my financial aid. Here is what I learned from them. 1-if you have financial aid trust that you will not have any issues because they defiantly will cross their T's and dot their I's, cause the government don't play with foolishness. 2- if you decide to pay out of pocket! DONT! This is where they take the opportunity to come up with expenses you won't even find on your financial assistance award statement. If you happen to miss a payment, they will help you by rolling it over to the next payment but be WARNED your balance will increase double your starting amount! Another SCAM I learned. 3- they take advantage of out of pocket payers and they do it with a smile on their face and convince you that they are on your side. When really they are not. 4-if you have a problem with a professor, and you're doing the online program like I did. You can forget about that battle, you lost! You're literally on your own online, even though they expressed so beautifully that they will be there every step of the way. NOT! 5- if you're thinking of doing the online program like I did. Be warned DONT unless you have the money to spend then by all means go ahead! But I learned that now they included a requirement to fly, mandatory out to Illinois to complete what they consider simulation check off! Oh on your own expense. Which means you pay for your own place to sleep your own food and pay for your time that your spending in the class on top of paying for the class itself! How ironic! Please do your research first there are so many school that are much more of an experience, unfortunately I didn't do my research and I just went went them unknowingly. But that's life you live and learn. Except I learned at very costly price! Lastly when you have receipts when it comes to your finances, they showed me, that it really doesn't matter, they will hold on to the fact that you did not pay till they are blue in the face. I guess that's their motto, don't give in! Don't be naive research your background and look for others who have had experiences in this school before you make your decisions, they are a SCAMMING system and they prey on those who really do not know better! Although this school is pretty new on the map, the strides they are taking to get it up there with other popular nursing schools in Florida is commendatory. As a student here, the staff and the professors put a lot of time and attention into ensuring their students are not only learning but also are able to associate the material with everyday ideas and situations. This school creates close knit relationships and long term friendships. Everyone here is working toward the same goal. The school is a bit pricey and if they are going to keep the tuition that high, they need to offer more to the students (particularly the Miramar campus). I believe they should look into building a separate campus for Chamberlain students if they are truly looking to expand and bring more future nurses into the school. I recommend this school to everyone of all backgrounds and ages (very diverse)! read more
