They charged my insurance $2,527 for anesthesia! That is outrageous! NO anesthesia is worth that amount. It's no wonder insurance premiums are ridiculous. Our healthcare system/charges really need to be investigated. The level of "care" does not justify the astronomical charges. I also have mixed feelings about my experience with this place.

Again even fifteen years after the first time I am soooo thrilled with my doctors yes more than one three in fact...I had back surgery with Dr. Muldowney Feb. 5, 2018 today is Apr. 16, 2018 and I have been up and moving so much better. As with anything healing takes time but he actually pieced my tattoo back so that the scar separating it is barely noticable. How many surgeons really care about that. I see Dr. Stubbs for my shoulders that are both going to need surgery. I see Dr. Hobbes for my pain management. All the staff as well as the Dr.s are wonderful. The staff really makes a difference as always. Would not only recommend to anyone but would return if ever I need again. Thank you as always to them all.

Prior to visit called to inquire need for wheelchair & assistance due to Uber like ride. Staff demeanor immediately erupted prior to XRAY. staff stiff remarks "why he left". A Chart nurse proceeded via med information & stiff disposition by another. LPN arrived & unbelievable Questions & rudeness, LPN ask when & how did my situation become an issue. Explained I'm home bound, medical team weekly & starting within days full medical part time staff to assist my fibromyalgia, cronic pain assistance due to weakness, bone on bone knee pain. Dr. Thomas entered, I arose a partial, shook his hand & introduced myself. My home nurse said his demeanor was far from kind & I'm sure it trickled to staff. Dr. Ask in a fussy tone, "why are you here etc? Left LOS in utter disbelief & had to view my shock on the visor. Disabled senior too upset to cry. Never would I refer any person to LOS Montgomery & staff.

First off, I was an active athlete most of my life which included most high school sports. I was also a semi-professional motorcycle racer and due to that, I probably had a few more broken bones and severe injuries than the average Joe. I'm certainly not creeping up on Evil Kinevil numbers but I have had well over half a dozen surgical orthopedic procedures. First off, Dr. Montgomery is a fantastic orthopedic surgeon of which I know many friends and relatives who have had knee, hip and shoulder surgeries. Nobody I know has ever questioned his ability as a surgeon and about being a dam good one at that. If he has a shortcoming, it would be that some say he doesn't have the best "bed side" empathy but personally I have never had an issue. One thing I will also applaud him for is that he isn't anxious to put patients under the knife and will try therapy, cortisone and time to heal with a conservative approach to medicine. If after a period it isn't healed or is worse and he is confident of the diagnosis then rest assured if you go into surgery he will get you fixed up. If he can't, most likely it will be difficult to find someone who can. His resume includes the Ragin Cajun athletic teams as well as most all of the local high schools which go to him for student injuries. I wouldn't hesitate to send my wife or kids there. I hope you never need an orthopedic doctor but if you do I highly recommend Dr. Montgomery.

A family member highly recommended AP&P so I made the move to try them out. The first thing I was met with was genuine kindness, friendly smiles and services, and good instructions on how I could also help my healing process at home. Every single staff member there would greet me and was attentive and happy! This helped me during my pain journey because it was infectiously encouraging to smile and join in the fun. When we first saw Dr. Cormier in 2021, we really liked him. He did a major neck surgery on my…read morehusband where he stayed in the hospital for 2 weeks due to having to have rehab. Six months later Dr. Cormier performed brain surgery on one side on my husband's head and three months later the other side. To this day, my husband has NO feeling in his thumbs, index fingers and middle fingers on both,prior to the above mentioned surgeries he did have feeling in them. Back in Feb. 2023, he was complaining with a lot of head pain, we went back and Dr. Cormier ordered MRIs of his head and neck and we had an appt for 3 weeks after MRI. Got a call from the office, they rescheduled the appointment, this kept going on until Nov 2023 (still no results of MRIs). I got mad and found a new doctor and dropped off paperwork to get records transferred, while there I spoke my mind and told the receptionist how disappointed we were! We got a call from Dr Cormier about half hour later, saying that my husband needed to have surgery bc the screws holding the hardware in his neck were loose! Sounded fishy to me (why didn't he call as soon as he got that report, plus nothing like that on the tech's report)! To get my husband's records took almost an act of Congress!! The day I picked them up, I lit into them again! We went to the new doctor, who had 2 other doctors look over the MRIs and NOBODY saw anything wrong with the screws! They even had my husband do other tests to make sure! I definitely will not recommend him to anyone!

This is just informational and forewarning to anyone who is or in the future gets treated by…read moreneurologist Dr Jason Cormier. I had a surgery with him in spring of 2023. It was a much unexpected necessity. Everything seemed to go ok. I've never had a major surgery like this before so I didn't and still don't know what to expect in the forthcoming and future as far as aftercare goes. Let's just say I have actually seen him twice. EVERY follow up that I have been scheduled for since my last visit, which was Sept 2023, has been rescheduled by his staff. I was ordered to take X-rays, which were done the last week of December 2023, and have them for my January appt...that appt still has not come to fruition. I'm having some issues and of course concerns, but cannot for the life of me get seen. His staff changes just as much if not more than my appts and my laundry. He may be (as I was told) the best in the industry, however, if you can NEVER get checked or seen then what is the point?! I've never made a complaint post or done a bad review before but I feel like this is warranted and if I would've known that once surgery was over I'd be left without much guidance, help, nor care, I would've NEVER opted him as my surgeon. I literally just got called this morning around 10:35am to reschedule my appt once again that was supposed to be on 7/16. I am at my end. I've left a message for the office manager (who is not the same one that was there when I went in for preop) I highly doubt I'll even get a call back. I just feel like if anything people should know so they can make a better informed decision when it comes to their health and aftercare.
