The winery is located in downtown Spokane in a beautifully old architectural brick building with large wooden beams and local artist works on the brick walls that create an ambiance of the past. The Barrister team's hospitality is a 5-star. My girlfriend and I had a great conversation with Sharon, the tasting room server along with other wine tasters and the owners. You'll learn about the buildings history, winery's beginning, refine your palate skills, artist works and more. The wines are amazing and pair well. Barrister wine will be a staple at my house hold. The Cab Franc was my favorite along with the very popular blended Rough Justice which has a unique taste and is a must try. A visit to the tasting room is a must. Your right in the heart of the cork district and on the edge of the park. The room has a tasting bar and plenty of seating. Great place but the thing that impressed me is that the person serving the tasting remembered multiple things about my wife from the time we were there one year ago! The place is very cool looking and the wine selection is great. I would also recommend the wine club as it is only 3 bottles twice a year of great wine plus there is complimentary evenings twice a year for memebers and tasting fees are always waived for members + guests. read more

The only bad thing is we went from Barrister to Arbor Crest, which totally ruined Arbor Crest. Barrister has really good wines served by knowledgeable and friendly staff in a neat urban facility that they have made very comfortable. Really liked their wines. read more

I was in town visiting friends and my friend is a wine club member here so we stopped by one afternoon. The wine tastings were very good and the cellar/tasting room is really cool. Went to Barrister today for my first time with a group of girls. The wine tastings were quite good compared to the other two wineries we visited today. However, I did not purchase wine and neither did most of the girls in the group BECAUSE the two women whom were working there were so incredibly rude and made us feel so unwelcome. Be aware. You may taste some great wines, but if you are as unfortunate as we were to be coldly greeted by these same two women, you may want to reconsider visiting Barrister Winery. read more

Spending a couple nights in town with my husband from Seattle. We were checking out the town, and decided to check this place out. The lady running the bar, Beth, was talking down to me the whole time, kept walking away from us, and I feel like she was turned off by us. She gave us terrible service, but others good service. My husband LOVES red wine, but I'm more of a white wine fan. I like trying anything though. We didn't realize they mostly focused on reds, as we are not from here. Beth made me feel like I was a terrible person for it. An older couple came in, and after 15 minutes of waiting to get service, they decided to walk out, so they said "we'll just be back another day". Beth looked at me and said "oh she told me she left because something happened with her kid," and smirked. That was not the case, as I watched them talk to her and leave. I was very disappointed in how I was talked down to like an idiot the entire time. I normally love wineries. I came in 7/20 around 6 pm or so. read more
