They checked on the residents daily so when a semi retired front desk lady called me to tell me my mother was found on the floor of her apartment "by the cleaning lady" no one from management called me somebody it was the front desk called wanting to know if I wanted the ambulance to bring her to Morton plant or Largo hospital. She was admitted to the hospitol it was the doctor's opinion that mom had been on the floor for 2 to 3 days . She was severely Dehydrated had renal failure elevated enzymes including heart complications and apathy . I wanted was the truth from the director and the manage read I feel I never got that .. I interviewed some of the employees then was called by the management they seem to have the attitude that since I'm asking around you should talk to me directly .. To shorten the story my mom passed away a few months later from that fateful day..

After 5 weeks he was close to discharge but then became deathly ill from 4 serious infections that were all preventable and caused by neglect of simple hygienic care and poor medical attention from staff and facility. He was in ICU for 4 days fighting pneumonia, severe UTI, E-Coli and blood sepsis. He remained in hospital for another 15 days recovering before able to come home. At home with home healthcare and 24 hr. care necessary now. He is very slowly recovering with PT but is no longer independent as previous to original injury. Due to the severity of infections and hospitalizations he has lost a large amount of his cognitive thinking and communication abilities. He now suffers from chronic COPD due to pneumonia. So many more things happened and lack of care that would take a few more pages. Please do not take your loved ones here is all I can say!

The cottages are consistently clean and well maintained. Meals are nutritious, balanced, and served on time every day. Even when I was away for the summer, I felt confident knowing my mother was in good hands. The staff communicate regularly about residents' health and behavior, sharing both positive updates and any concerns promptly. My only suggestion for improvement would be to ensure better management of personal clothing items, as they were occasionally misplaced or taken by other residents. The director, Dawn Grady, is a horrible human being who only cares about filling the place and residents are dying due to neglect. I regret sending my mother to Pacifica Bellair for the 8 months that she resided there, ending up with a huge hematoma that bled for two weeks. One of the residents, a little old lady that lived in the same cottage than my mother, was sent to the hospital with maggots in her legs and private parts. She died in the hospital. This place SHOULD BE CLOSED and Dawn Grady should not be working with our fragile loved ones.

Ask to take a shower and was told they don't provide soap! Nothing! Someone has to bring supplies to you. I came from 3 weeks in intensive care and sent here for rehab. Asked for something to eat, no food after 6 pm! Was given a cup of water at 6:30 p.m. and told to wait until breakfast. Had to borrow roomates wheelchair to use the restroom as none provided by facility. They are rude, evasive and unhospitable. I thought I was in a nightmare and called a friend to rescuse the very next morning. If you love someone, do NOT send them here.

But most of all, the staff has been at the facility many years and know how to make residents fully engaged and happy. In fact, it appears to be their goal. This is my first year in an apartment and my reviews will only get better as I put down my book and expand my interests. For now, it's a restful break from maintaining a big house in Maryland. I look forward to exploring the many options for exercise, fellowship, and relaxing.

They work under Darwin's leadership and have always been great about responding quickly to our work orders. They take the time to listen and always come up with solid solutions. We've seen a big improvement in the maintenance team over the past few years, and it hasn't gone unnoticed. Not long ago, our air conditioner broke late at night--around 10:30 PM. Justin Chapman, the Security Manager, jumped into action right away and made sure we had a cool, comfortable place to stay that night. We appreciated how quickly he handled everything. The care, quick responses, and genuine concern from the staff are what make Regency Oaks feel like home.

It's clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, and there are so many activities for the residents. My friend seems very happy here. After being here 30 days, she could not tell me one thing she does not like. She likes it all! When I walked into the dining area to visit my friend, I walked into an ice cream social. My friend and one of the other residents asked the staff member serving up ice cream if I could have a cup. She gave me one, and it was delicious. My friend showed me her room. It's small and cozy and she has her own bathroom. We sat outside talking, and it was a beautiful day. She showed me the lake behind the facility, and told me she loves watching the ducks. As we talked, a couple of musicians pulled up to the front of Lake House and unloaded their equipment. Within 30 minutes we heard them playing in the dining area. They were great! I look forward to seeing my friend often in the future. I'm so glad she's here!
