Fantastic experience!…read more I got my hair cut by Cassie, she did a great job, the best haircut I've gotten in IL, she knew what she was doing and did a great job! I have scheduled another appointment 4 weeks from now. I wish I could remember the name of the lady who gave me my beard trim, she also did a great job! The place has an overall great feel, the music isn't too loud (could be a tad quieter for my taste), complementary drinks and comfortable seating.

A friend of my son couldn't stop raving about George, so I decided to bring my sons in to see him,…read moreand I'm so glad I did. George was absolutely fantastic. He didn't just give them great haircuts, he genuinely took his time and paid meticulous attention to every detail, ensuring everything was perfectly styled. What truly stood out was how wonderfully he interacted with my boys. He chatted with them throughout their cuts, making them feel completely comfortable and enjoying every minute they seriously loved the conversation. Afterward, I asked them what they thought, and they were absolutely thrilled with their new looks. They couldn't stop gushing about George, even declaring him a "cool guy" The overall atmosphere of the shop is really welcoming too. It's such a clean and well kept space, and all the other barbers we saw were super friendly and had a great vibe. The offer of water bottles and refreshments was also a thoughtful touch that didn't go unnoticed and to top it all off, the prices for the cuts are incredibly reasonable, especially considering the top notch service and excellent experience we had.

Ok - so my dad decided he'd talk the kid into it while they were out doing guy stuff. The kid suggested one of the chain places he usually goes, but my dad, a barber shop aficionado, saw the Hometown Barber Shop while they were at lunch across the street and suggested they check it out. He came home with what is probably the best haircut he's had in a decade. Hands down. He'd never take the time to write a review, but said the guys were friendly, talkative, and can cut hair like nobody's business. They even managed to get him to look like a normal person AND deal with the wicked colic he has at the crown of his head so that the hair at the top of it doesn't stick straight up. For $16, how can you go wrong? Maybe now he'll keep his hair cut!
