We were looking for a used car and found one at Barrie Honda. We spoke to a rep named Jesse, after viewing the car, we decided that we wanted to buy it. We were told the car would be cleaned and serviced and ready to be picked up on the following Thursday because it wasn't cleaned or serviced yet. Fast forward to Thursday, to pick up the car, upon inspection the mats looked like they were just cleaned (enough to pass as clean if you just glanced at it), but after carefully looking info the car, the trunk and interior of the car was really dirty and still had some of the previous owner's personal items and hair in it.. Under the hood was dirty, the filters of the car weren't changed (See pictures) We were so disappointed.. Jesse said that their usual car detailing person is away so they had to use another company, but this didn't explain why the filters on the car weren't changed, which probably meant the car wasn't serviced prior to us picking it up. The manager Jason came and offered to fix it for us and he'll make it right for the inconvenience.. the car now had to be picked up on Saturday instead. We thought about it, and were on the fence on whether or not we wanted to proceed with the purchase of the car.. we tried to contact both the Jesse and Jason on Friday but they ignored our calls.. didn't even bother to return our calls then on Saturday my husband got a text from Jesse asking if we are still coming on Saturday. We went and upon inspection the car was cleaned, and we gave them a benefit of the doubt (which I probably shouldn't have. I should have walked away after so many bad experiences) Purchased the car and was told that the first payment was going to be taken on Oct 8th. Now it was Oct 8th, the payment didn't come out. I tried to contact the finance lady Monica to follow up and see what's going on. Again, ignored my calls.. and when I did get a hold of her she would say its going to be in a few weeks. Waited a few weeks and NOTHING. Payment still didn't come out... I called Monica and Jesse constantly to follow up as I didn't want it to negatively impact my credit as missed payments but again they were selective of when they wanted to answer my calls. The money was in my account waiting for it be withdrawn. Now it's December, I gave up on trying to contact them and contacted the lender directly, the agent on the phone was saying they were surprised that the payment hasn't come out all this time and fixed the issue for me and told me the first pym will be taken the following Friday. Just like that, the guy on the phone was more helpful to me compared to Monica or Jesse. Instead they strung me along for a couple months ignoring my calls. I actually had to go on google find a number, be transferred to several departments to find the right place to be talking to. Another thing was shortly, after I purchased the car, I noticed that every time I braked there was a cracking sound. Not even a few months, there's already any issue with the car. Again, with the finance issue, I also had this issue that I wanted to talk to them about but they weren't responding to me, so I finally called Honda and spoke to service, and they told me to bring the car in on the 20th. Now I'm questioning if they even "certified" this car as advertised when purchasing a secondhand car. It makes me feel so unsafe driving my kids around in that car, I don't even know what was done to it or if out of spite maybe they deliberately lied and didn't even service it. I know they were recently awarded as #1 Best Price for used cars, which is really surprising because their customer service is absolutely terrible. I would not recommend anybody to purchase a car from this location. I'll bring my car in on the 20th and see what they say. I'm going to be escalating this to head office as I don't feel anybody should go through what we went through.

(Another week) Dealer: The car is here but let the paint dry over night.(one more day) (Next Day, got the car) Me: why didn't you attach the front number plate to bumper and where is the shift knob and accessories ? I will give you accessories with it.(temporary shift knob with tape and metal ball) (After a week) Dealer: The delivery hasn't arrived yet, it will come in a few days. It will open after everything settles down. (How convenient!!! Giving up hope! Also I was told the price for licensing will be 80-200 dollars, charged me 250 dollars. So we had a fun experience…read more.. 2020 Tundra purchased from Georgian GM back in June of 2024. Sooooo the only good part was the salesman, he was eager to help, his name was Jonathan. He was friendly. So I drive an hour and a half to look at this truck, in the ad damage on the rear bumper was NOT listed, the tires were also completely bald and DOT was older than 5 years. No big deal, we discussed, they knocked off $1500 from the price of the truck, and proceeded to move forward. I had tires for that extra truck at home which were in great shape to pass safety. The ONLY thing I asked of them was obviously truck needs to be certified/safetied, and for it to pass it needed an alignment REALLY badly. Hard shake and clearly driving sideways on the highway. I picked up the truck one day in the late afternoon, first things first the truck is dirty. It had stains everywhere, so they brought it back in the had to wiped down again. Then I leave the dealership. I drove for about 15 minutes before getting on the highway, I noticed the steering was a little off but I didn't overthink it. I get onto the highway, the truck at EXACTLY 100km/h would struggle to hold the lane that's how bad the alignment was. I immediately called them and explained what was going on, they said bring it to any GM dealer near me and they will reimburse. I take it to Royfoss in Thornhill, they took videos and pictures proving the work done, showing the alignment was clearly far out of spec, and not only that, there was an oil leak they didn't tell me about!! To make this all better, about one month later, I only drove maybe 400-500km in the month because I was waiting for the oil leak to be diagnosed (the oil filter housing was cracked, which Georgian GM claimed they did an oil change before I picked it up). All of a sudden I press the brakes and there's a strong vibration in the steering wheel. The dealership 'claimed' it had new brakes, it was not. The pads were almost new, and the front rotors were completely dry rotted, and rusted. I still have those rotors in my garage, with rust marks and dry rotting all over. Next, I get the front brakes done, then a shop recommends getting an inspection done because something was leaking on the back end... my rear differential was leaking, and my transfer case was also leaking... but it had stopped by that point. After all this, one thing I never tried until they brought it to the shop for the inspection, the parking brake didn't work... For the record, I never even got a reimbursement for the alignment which came out to $300, because the tie rods were seized... video proof done by Royfoss Thornhill. Didn't know a bad allignment, dry rotted brakes, an inoperative parking brake, and a leaking differential can still pass a safety inspection? All in all, horrible experience at this dealership. I understand buying a used car is you buy it the way it is, however if you sell a car safety certified, do a proper inspection.

Towed to dealership where they started unauthorized repairs on unrelated system, and another new battery was ordered. 3 weeks later the second new battery was installed and the car was returned once again to me (fully charged). This time the car drove for 2 weeks before refusing to move again. Returned to dealer a third time. This time the problem was found to be a body module software update which they charged me for. I was offered compensation for fuel which I'm still waiting for as well. Discussing with GM corporate and still awaiting an explanation from the shop foreman. Oh and the $50 to clean the loaner was a further slap in the face. Stay away from this stealership.

Prices not bad, customer service horrendous, quality of work reasonable…read more I had an Acura vehicle that was on the tail end of a Certified Pre-owner Warranty that was provided to me when I initially purchased it from another Acura dealership. I ended up calling this dealership to ask them how much they'd charge to evaluate if a noise I was hearing was covered under the warranty in-question. I was given a price that was lower than other Acura dealerships, so I decided to come in. They ended up giving me a rate that was $5 or $10 higher per hour at the dealership than what was quoted on the phone. Eventually the service advisor told me he was the one who spoke to me on the phone. They performed a service on the air conditioning system, and charged me for it. The advisor mentioned that the clutch would need to be replaced, and I asked if he was referring to the clutch related to the gears of my vehicle or the A/C clutch. He ended up going to speak to the mechanic who worked on my car and confirmed that it was the A/C clutch that was being referred to (I was surprised that the service advisor didn't have these details without following-up with the mechanic). I realized on my way home from the dealership that the noise was still there, so I came back. I also realized by looking at a picture I had taken with my phone of the pamphlet that explained what the warranty covered, that every part of the air conditioning was covered, in which case the diagnostics and repairs should've been covered under said warranty. I asked for a refund, at which point the advisor called his support and confirmed that it was indeed covered. He also had his mechanic look at my chariot again, and advised that the A/C clutch would need to be replaced, and that they'd order one for me. I had to follow-up several times over the phone for a status update, and the last time I spoke to a service advisor (it wasn't the one I initially spoke to), I was told that there was another part aside from the A/C clutch that was ordered for my vehicle. When I came back to the dealership to get the A/C clutch replaced, I ended up speaking to the initial service advisor, who told me that there was nothing but the A/C clutch to be replaced. So that was now at least the second time that there was a miscommunication. After I had this part changed, I started getting phone calls from the dealership telling me that they were interested in having me trade my vehicle in for a new(er) Acura. I advised them that I had already traded my Acura vehicle in for a Honda, and expected that they'd stop harassing me for my business. However they are continuing to mail and call me, asking me to bring my Acura vehicle for a trade-in. All-in-all, this dealership seems to have some of the worst customer service that I've ever seen, so I'd avoid it like the plague.

Disappointing Experience at Barrie VW - Would Not Recommend…read more I've had multiple disappointing experiences with Barrie Volkswagen, and after giving them several chances, it's clear that poor communication and a lack of accountability are recurring issues here. Most recently, I dropped my car off for a scheduled service appointment at 7:40 AM and placed the keys in the drop box, as their Google listing shows they open at 8:00 AM. What isn't made clear is that the service department actually opens at 7:30 AM -- a detail you only find by navigating through their website and clicking into the service section. By 1:00 PM, I still hadn't received any updates, so I called to ask about the status of my car. I was told that the keys were still in the drop box and that my vehicle hadn't even been looked at because they had already collected keys at 7:30. Since mine was dropped at 7:40, it was simply missed. When I asked why no one contacted me to let me know I'd missed the appointment, I was told, "We don't make missed appointment calls." Their only solution at that point was to look at the car immediately -- over five hours late -- with no accountability for the communication breakdown. Frustrated, I called the service manager to explain the situation and shared that my husband and I have had multiple experiences where the customer service has been terrible. Her response? "That's not a fair statement." There was no apology, no ownership, and no effort to understand my perspective. Instead of addressing the pattern of poor service, she dismissed my concerns outright. It was clear that customer feedback is not valued, and that service recovery is non-existent. In a previous visit, I brought my car in due to abnormal noises. I was offered a service, but it was not clearly explained, so I declined it. A few days later, I received a request for feedback, and I replied honestly -- stating that I had lost trust in their recommendations. I pointed out that the technician's own inspection video showed my brake pads were at 8mm and 9mm, which clearly did not require replacement. Only after I shared this feedback did someone respond with a long, detailed message clarifying that the service was not a brake replacement -- information that should have been communicated during the appointment, not after the fact in response to criticism. It's also worth noting that my vehicle is just over one year old with only 15,000 km, and I've already had to bring it in multiple times. That includes a recall, a reverse camera that stopped working after unrelated service, and most recently, the need to replace two wheel bearings. If this is any indication of how much maintenance this car is going to need, I'm thankful it's a lease -- and I'll be glad to hand it back at the end of the term. In short: Communication is inconsistent and unclear Customer feedback is not taken seriously Accountability is lacking And concerns are dismissed rather than addressed After several attempts to give Barrie VW the benefit of the doubt, I've lost trust in their ability to provide reliable, transparent, and respectful service. If you value professionalism and customer care, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
