I had acute onset low back pain after a run that was, unfortunately, really bad (at 31, I don't heal quite as fast as I used to, and it wouldn't go away on its own). He saw me 4 times and was able to get me to a place where pain was really no longer an issue--he told me from the beginning was that he wanted to see me a couple of times, get me back to business as usual and send me on my way. He gave me exercises and instructions so that I could help strengthen and get myself back to baseline, taking an active role in my care. The staff is also very kind and friendly, and they work with Group Health, which is a big plus. To those who are on the edge of trying out chiropractic: be careful where you go. There are a lot of loonies. Dr. Zografos is not one of them. I would recommend him to friends, family, or anyone else who will listen.

TOTAL SALES SCAM. BEWARE!!!…read more This business has changed ownership. Dr. Z owned until mid 2020 and he was FANTASTIC. I wish I could say the same about the new ownership. I have an issue where my neck gets out of alignment and I get really dizzy/nauseous. It happens once every few years, I go to the chiropractor a few times, and it's resolved. Over the past 15 years, I have worked with 3 different chiropractors and they have all been wonderful at addressing this issue as well as other tune-ups and strengthening needed. Last week my neck went out. I used to be a patient of Dr. Z, so I called up Olympic View (figuring I would give the new owners a shot). They were able to fit me in right away... which isn't surprising since they have been spamming my phone and email trying to get me to schedule an appointment since they took over the business. I go in and they require I do x-rays. "Is it absolutely necessary?" I ask. Yes, they say. They need to make sure I don't have any major issues they don't know about. I realize I am a "new" patient (to them and they know I have good insurance. I'm willing to play along because my neck really hurts and I'm desperate. They do less than 5 adjustments total between my lower back, upper back, and neck. They send me on my way (no instructions about ice, stretches, etc). and say to come back Monday to finish off a few more adjustments. As I walk out I ask if there is a copay and the office tech says "not this time," I show up today (Monday) and the first thing they do is pull me into a room to look at my xrays. They're "very concerned" about my lower back and have a way to prevent surgery for it (dear reader- i broke my back as a teen... I told them this, and I know about my back issues. My back condition is overseen by a doctor, it is stable and not deteriorating/worsening). The Chiropractor "Dr" assures me that 2-3 times per week for a few weeks plus a home exercise/strengthening program will make everything feel better and prevent an expensive surgery. I try to clarify that I'm just here for my upper neck issue and try to ask how many treatments. The Dr. is again vague, saying a few weeks at most, and then sends in the office tech to go over billing. What do you know!!?!?! My treatment plan is for EXACTLY the number of chiropractic appointments my insurance covers for a year! I just need to attend 3 times a week for EIGHT weeks (ie- a few months, not a few weeks). I am then given the option of paying all my copays at once for a discount. At this point, my head is spinning and I'm trying to figure out why I'm not being offered my follow-up adjustment for my original complaint. I ask the tech and she said I can either do their treatment plan, she "guesses" they could do a random adjustment if I really wanted it, or I can just pay the copay from the previous treatment and leave. At this point, there is no way I'm paying another copay or letting them touch my neck for a "random adjustment." I looked at the "what's included" list for their "treatment plan" and it is literally a bunch of modalitis/treatments to rack up insurance reimbursement. I played along with the xrays.... but fool me twice... shame on you! I was flabbergasted. It was a total sales gimmick and they weren't even hiding it! When I brought up wanting to resolve my first issue I came in for the office tech honestly didn't know what to do other than just ask for the copayment from my first visit (remember, the one that I didn't have to pay!??!) since I didn't want TWENTY FOUR more treatments. So, here I am... out a copay, still a little dizzy, and looking for a new chiropractor. Please save yourself time and find an honest chiropractor.

Micky Barnett has been a lifesaver through 2 generations in my family. My dad went to him for years…read moreuntil he passed away from cancer. I have been going to Micky since I was 17, I'm now 43. The most recent sever issue I went in after was a long road trip and I couldn't walk upright at all. I had been at the MD's office several times and they took MRI's and couldn't do anything but throw pain meds at it. Granted they helped but only masked the problem. I finally went to Dr. Barnett and I went in hunched over and could barely walk. Granted it wasn't a one visit fix but I walked out walking upright with much less pain. After about 6 visits with Micky I could return to work without pain. Just to stay mobile and without pain I visit regularly once a week. I found that I have degenerative discs in my L3, L4 and L5 Vert. I now get regular right leg numbness and pain at the same time as well as neck pain. When I visit Micky I walk out feeling so much better and by the next day the pain is gone in my leg. But because of the work I do my back is out by the 4th day of work and have to revisit. Well worth the money to get adjusted every Friday to recover for the weekend. I have neglected my back and just keep working so I have to visit regularly to keep the spine in line. I highly recommend Micky if you have a back issue. I recently asked him he is going to have to tell to recommend someone when he retires. Just like I asked the person who cut my hair. There is right way and wrong to do everything. The reason I chose now to write a review is because I seen that people said they had bad experiences with Micky. If you take care of your back you won't have issues but if you abuse yourself then you won't get better. Ice, Ice, Ice, Ice. don't use heat when you have been adjusted. Use ice. relax, and take is easy. The longer your back is out the longer it takes to heal because of inflammation. Also when it is out longer it creates a "memory" of being out and will go out when you start putting it back in. The more you keep your back inline the LONGER it will stay inline. Thank you Micky!
