My husband decided on this place. As is common with Europe, menu is posted outside with prices. They have the menu in multiple languages. We were greeted and told to sit where we liked. We were pointed to an area, but he could see we didn't want to go there, so he pointed to other areas. We settled at the table for two. Our waiter came to ask if we wanted drinks (by drinks it is wine :). We opted for water as we don't drink alcohol. We placed our food order. The bread and carrots and the sardines pâté came first. To be honest, we were taking aback when we saw the sardines pâté was two small cans. Nevertheless, we opened the containers and gave them a try. They were good. I like sardines so this was fine for me. Next, came our main entrees. The salmon was the nicest and most glistening piece of salmon I had seen. Fries looked crispy and golden. My lamb stew smelled very aromatic (basil). The potatoes, peas, and carrots had the right textures. Not mushy or crunchy. The dish was seasoned well. The way it was served was an added bonus as it is served in a stainless pot. My husband said the salmon needed some salt and a bit more flavor. The taste was enhanced when he added the lemon. I tasted the salmon and I would have preferred it a little less cooked. As my husband said, the taste was enhanced with the lemon. We closed down the restaurant as they close at three to reopen at six. The wait staff were very friendly. We paid 2,90 Euro for water, 3,20 for the couvert (bread, carrots, & butter), pâté de sardines 1,80 Euro, salmon 16,90 Euro, lamb stew 14,50 Euro, and gelato 3,50 Euro. Our grand total came to 42,80 Euro.
