I had enjoyed a Portillo's beef sandwich (dipped in sauce, with cheese) not 24 hours before chance led me to drive through Bridgman, so you can imagine the vulnerability and anxiety I felt as I exited the car and prairie-dogged my way towards the restroom. I stubbed my toe on my doorframe this morning and you bet, emotions poured out in the form of expletives. I cursed privately, and got on with my day. But for you to blame my man, working at a gas station for not "having (the ground) repainted" is uncalled for. He went the extra mile despite a statewide minimum wage of $8.50, got you ice because you tripped on a handicap-accessible ramp, and you attack his kind soul. Do you think that other gas stations in western Michigan are better equipped to accommodate your clumsiness? Perhaps it's been a while since you've taken a roadtrip. Next time you whine about a "safety code," you really ought to think about the humans working hard to ensure every other piece of your experience in Bridgman is flawless.
