Sheryl was so sweet and meant to do this, she truly cared that we had a good time. The party barn was perfect and it was nice to have the tables and centerpieces ready to go. Unfortunately, The owner, Tammy, is very frustrating to work with. She is very short with you, and pushes parties through so much so that you get only 15 min to set up all of your food and personal decorations. While they do help you, it makes it very stressful to be setting up that quickly as guests come in. Most places give 1hr but even 30 minutes would be better. If you come a minute earlier, she's upset. We had guests arrive early and waited outside of the barn respectfully and watched our children while we set up, they were yelled at for arriving early. My mother arrived 30 min before the party with my son because she came from soccer with him. The previous party had already left so she asked to drop the drinks off to get them out of her car and make room for myself and husband. She was yelled at for "asking for special treatment". We had 10 kids and about half of them decided not to ride the ponies because they were scared, they let my son ride a second time but wouldn't let my cousin because it's a strict one ride per kid even if there is more time and not everyone rides. They can accommodate up to 22 kids per their website and communications. I can appreciate it is a business and they have to make their money but that didn't make a whole lot of sense to me. My daughter had a beautiful 1st bday party. Thankfully, she didn't notice the stress and enjoyed her day. I wish the owner was more welcoming, less pushy and cared more about her customers, not just their money. If she did we would be back in a heart beat. Unfortunately, I don't think we will be back because i have sour taste in my mouth. It's a shame because this place really is perfect for the kids.

As many times as I had driven past Domino's along Route 23, I never knew there was a petting farm nestled back in there! Very well kept, animals' pens were clean, animals all looked very healthy and well cared for. The grounds were also well maintained. Sheep, horses, goats, rabbits, chickens, peacock, donkey, alpaca, geese, etc. In various pens inside and outside of the barns. Animals outside of the buildings also had coverage areas built for them. An aged stationary tractor is on display for children to climb up onto the seat and play "Farmer John" for a while. There was also a playground area as well as an oversized doll house for children to experience. A poll barn is used as a gathering center for birthday parties, etc. Great idea for children to go and experience farm animals up close and personal. Fun afternoon.

We got to walk through the petting zoo, and carrots were provided to feed the animals, and also did a tractor ride. I was surprised there was only one barn with animals, although there are cows, pigs, and more on-property that you can also see. The animals were all cute and happy to gulp down the carrot sticks. I don't live in Ann Arbor anymore (I'm a UM grad) and it's a bit out of the way, so I don't anticipate coming here that much - it's a cute place for kids but I guess I was expecting it to be a bit larger or something.

We came back to the sugar bush house to hear about the process of syrup making. It definitely kept my 12 & 14 year old interested! The farm itself is also so fun to visit. And of course we bought honey on the way out since we got to see their bee grounds too! It was a really fun day out! The farmers are so passionate about what they do there. It's certainly educational but it's a really fun place to visit for events and just seeing some farm life, land, and animals

We had been misinformed via LittleGuideDetroit that there was horseback riding and that in fact, seems to be down the street? It is all still there and even better because with the hustle and bustle of life..Simple pleasures may fall to wayside. Recently, I went boating with friends. The word perfect comes to mind! So beautiful, relaxing and calming. The boat launch is very nice and there are places around the lake to stop, get a snack and use the facilities. The park is clean, super well-maintained and the staff were also nice. I will make it a point to come back a few times this summer! We are fortunate to have such a gem in our midst.

Went today for their Superb Owl event - it was cute! It was set up in stations so you could stroll…read morearound and do different things. Got to see a great horned owl which was very cool. The other owls were tucked away and asleep in their enclosures, which makes sense. Also saw a bald eagle, a couple hawks, and critters like a tarantula, snapping turtle and others in their critter house. Staff/volunteers on site were super knowledgeable and friendly, and there was a lot to learn about owls during this event. Believe the trails and outdoor bird enclosures are free and open to the public year round.

We then headed outside, dodging raindrops, to see the exterior raptor enclosures. There were a variety of owls, hawks, and more. We especially enjoyed watching the owl that was having a good time on its swing. They are currently also working on creating a nearby nature playscape. The section that is complete so far is very nice - a very neat slide, places to climb, a higher up area to look out from, and more. They also offer some trails to explore. Paved parking is available and staff were friendly.

The outdoor garden area was perfect with places to sit, eat, play. Lots of parking was available, not much of a wait. What a beautiful day for the annual St. Jude Walk at the Detroit Zoo. It's a perfect leisurely walk…read morewhile taking in all the sights and animal habitats. The Kidney Foundation uses the Detroit Zoo also for their annual walk. This was a great time seeing all the animals. There have been times that the animals have been hiding or sleep in the past. Today was the day that they were all up and at them for all to see. "Lions & tigers & bears, oh my!" We got to see the African tiger, lions, rhinos, grizzly bears, peacocks, buffalo, ostriches, monkeys, etc. Everyone was out for a photo op! If you haven't gone in awhile, you owe it to yourself to treat you and your family to a wonderful outing. The holiday visits in December is another great time for families.

OTHER (photo takers, exhibit workers, food vendors): All were very friendly, no complaints. CLEANLINESS: All seemed kept up fairly well. BATHROOMS: Several spread throughout pretty well. All indoors but NO air conditioning so they are very hot and muggy! Most have several stalls so not a long wait. PRICES: $21/ea ticket if ordered online (pricing changes with day you go!!!) $8 for parking on their private lots. PARKING: Amble amount on their private lots. OVERALL THOUGHTS: It's a nice zoo to go to once (unless you live in the area). Pricey tickets and pay for parking. Half of the animals were no where to be seen (maybe being so warm??), so that was a bummer and ones that were out were sleeping tucked away so hard to see. Navigating the layout was a bit tricky (lots of backtracking, to not miss things). VERY busy. WOULD I RETURN? No, once was enough for this zoo.
