Why can't they install a drip cap correctly and make requested repairs?

I'm not sure how they get an A + BBB rating when they get contacted with a complaint and even do not respond to the BBB. So now I have a window that has wood freezing and turning black when temperatures drop below zero. The blackness is the first step towards rotting away, and `it comes from an inadequately insulated window frame. I know it is not from moisture in the house as I have monitored it and the wood gets so cold it freezes. Since early Spring I have attempted to get someone out to repair it, and one time someone even promised to correct it after a house visit, but then communications were lost again. It's not just that the 5500.00 window will eventually need to be replaced again, it's the fact that the company simply doesn't care about customer service or honor any type of warranty work. The window is a Lindsey window and they only called one time as well then never heard back. Terrible backing of what they sell and install, and apparently terrible quality of the product. A window like this should last 20 or more years and this one is bad at five. I eventually gave up communications and wrote the BBB, and today I get an email that BBB letter to Minnesota Exteriors was never answered. Again, no response! I would not recomend them to anyone for any type of work just because they don't care after the sale is over.

We contacted Snap Construction about taking down and redoing the insulation in our tuck under…read moregarage. They assured us they were a "one stop shop" and could do the whole thing, and that it should only take 2-3 days The project took 2-3 weeks. When the first crew came by to do the insulation they did a great job. When they left, there was no drywall or mudding done. Two days of no updates or a check in, I email to ask what's going on. I'm assured they are waiting on the drywall team and will get back to me. A week goes by, no response, I email again and am told they're still waiting. Another week goes by. Stuff is now falling out of my ceiling. My garage has been filthy and unusable for two weeks. I tell them if we can't get this done this week we will have to go with another contractor to finish the job. Suddenly someone is available to come out the next day. Again, contractor themselves does a great job, but they leave without finishing the attached wall to our house, leaving styrofoam plugs in the wall (not up to fire code or city code). Instead of a check in or follow up, I get an email asking for full payment. At this point I'm fed up with managing this project myself (every contractor who arrived asked us "so what are we doing today" as if they had just been given our address and told nothing else). I email their main email and get a response from the owner a couple days later, all apologies and that they'll get someone right on it Over $7000 to act as my own project manager for a "one stop shop" company. I wouldn't recommend them unless you want to pay them to manage construction crews yourself.

Due to a recent hailstorm, we needed to have our roof replaced. After interviewing several roofing…read morecontractors, we chose eRoof to perform the work. Their representative, Garret H., presented a thorough plan for completing the work, assured us that he would coordinate with our insurance company as much as we required, and had a plan that would get the work done in just a few weeks. The eRoof bid was also in-line with other bids we had received to do the work. At the same time, we decided to upgrade our gutter system, which was the original one from 1959. The new system we chose included a cover to eliminate the need for gutter cleaning. We also needed to fix our chimney cap, which was falling apart in large chunks. eRoof also gave us competitive pricing for both projects and integrated that work into the overall work plan. The chimney cap replacement was completed first. That work began on a Monday and was finished the next day. The roof replacement happened on Friday, and the gutter system was hung the following Monday. All of the work was completed in an 8-day span. Throughout the process, Garret H. worked closely with our insurance adjuster to ensure that the new roof system met the current code requirements, with the insurance company agreeing to pay for the additional underlayment called for in the code regulations.
