this is how we do it south side!

This is probably my favorite of the Western Avenue pubs. Since most of the people that go drinking on Western are underage...Keegan's has a slightly older crowd...now that I'm 30 I need a little of that. Don't get me wrong cork and kerry, especially with the new addition is a great classic Irish pub...The difference is the guiness...Keegans has the best guiness pour in the entire city of Chicago and some people say west of Ireland. I hadn't been in in 5 or 6 years and the second I walked threough the door 3 people shouted my name....gotta love it!To compare it to dingers is apples and oarnges.....being the white sox fan that I am and all the time I spent in dingers when I was 16 leaves a softspot in my heart.....You can't beat the guiness at Keegans though. Cheers!

The craic is good here. Favorite pub on the southside. Don't come for frills none here but craic and pints are a plenty.

Clearly the table top wasn't secure before.

My mainstay for over twenty years! Best Guinness pour in the city. The entire staff is warm and solicitous.

I love Keegan's! It's a great neighborhood place to go. Very laid back but always a good time.

Horrible service! Bartender doesn't seem to know what put in the well means. It means I need another drink

Keegan's Pub has the best frothiest-poured Guinness in Chicago! The place is cozy and the bar tenders are always friendly.

On a layover, and had already given up on another spot. Was glad to have Ralph here to act like a…read moreprofessional and at least try. He gets it. Went the extra mile to get me a Goose Island brew from their sister spot across the way. Beer was good, but it does seem odd for an Irish pub themed joint in Chicago not to serve any drafts that are Chicago craft. Food? Meh. Exceptionally meh. I know it's an airport and it's gonna be greedily overpriced and gouged, but it was no better than a ballpark concession stand. Clearly sat for a while before coming out. Nothing in an airport is going to get a Michelin star, but goddamn try to differentiate yourself if you're a sit down spot vs the food court counter options. Most of those looked better on people's trays. But thanks to Ralph being professional and welcoming, it was not to be judged on food alone.

Reviews on the food are accurate. I got fish and chips…read more The seating is just sit anywhere, it would be nice if there was a little more space. Server was friendly, mentioned the wait on food was 25 minutes. It showed up in about 8 minutes Some fries were cold. The size of the cod pieces are generous, but not cooked enough. One was extremely water, the other piece had bites that didn't seperate from the piece, sort of like a steak instead of fish. Drinks are served in plastic cups, takes away a bit from the experience. Would not recommend for eating
