Roofing Vermont removed our roof and failed to properly tarp over the area, causing a major leak in our home and damaging our newly installed hardwood floor link to leak video: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1M69j4LDShrPupxDJB1ygXObcaZIooRZO/view?usp=sharing 2. It has been two months sense the leak and associated damages to our home and nothing has been done to repair or replace the flooring 3. On the final day of the roof install, we received a 25-page letter from Debbie that ended in her stating that it "has not sat well with her" to replace our flooring but she "had a friend who owes her a favor" that would replace 8 damaged boards. Even though 8 boards would be a small fraction of the damaged area, this vague promise has never amounted to anything despite our multiple emails with a request for resolution 4. Their insurance information has not been provided when requested (multiple times) 5. Our warranty papers have not been issued to us despite multiple requests 6. The roof was installed with several scratches which were so significant that we were worried the roof paint might need to be stripped and reapplied; after some consideration Debbie's crew just used paint sticks to cover the scratches 7. At 3:32pm, two minutes before she even sent us the final invoice (at 3:34pm), Debbie threatened to bring us to court if we did not pay her 8. 28 minutes (at 4:02pm) after she sent the final invoice, Debbie threatened to put a lien on our home if we did not pay her 9. Our roof install was rescheduled five different times When the roof of our home was completely removed, a large section was improperly tarped and it poured overnight, flooding our house and damaging our brand-new flooring (installed three days prior). We woke up at midnight to find it raining in our house. We used every single towel, tote, and pan that we owed, but it was not enough to prevent water from pooling on the floor of our home. To their credit, a crew arrived in the middle of the night to re-tarp the area, but the leak continued. The next day, Debbie (the owner) asked why we would install brand new floors when we were about to get the roof replaced, as if to say if you're getting your roof replaced with Roofing Vermont, you shouldn't have a finished home. For the next two months Debbie continued to assure us that she would replace the flooring, but she since has become increasingly unresponsive, and we have now not heard from her for 2 weeks. The contract states that we must give Roofing Vermont a chance to resolve any damage caused to our home, and if not then they must provide their insurance information so that we can file a claim. We have requested Roofing Vermont's insurance information twice and it has not been provided. This leads us to wonder: are they even fully insured? Our roof was also installed with scratches all over it. Scratches which Debbie thought might void our warranty and would cause them to have to remove the layer of paint on the metal and refinish. After some back and forth, Debbie's crew finally returned and painted over the scratches of metal, and we can only cross our fingers that our roof will not rust. We have not received our warranty paperwork despite multiple requests, and we are worried that we just spent almost $40,000 on a roof that has scratches and is not under warranty. On the last day of the job, Debbie threatened to bring us to court a few minutes before we were sent the final invoice. In the same text chain, she also threatened to put a lien on our property if we did not pay her. We paid the final invoice in full, despite our outstanding concerns with the project. Ever since, communication with Roofing Vermont has stalled out and they are now unresponsive. It doesn't bring us pleasure to write a review like this. This installation has caused us massive stress and heartache for months. This project is the largest investment we have ever made (besides the purchase of our home) and ultimately, we have no warranty papers for our roof, the roof was installed with scratches (that have been painted over but are still visible), our new flooring is destroyed, and we are left feeling disrespected, violated, and threatened after receiving many manic texts from Debbie. We are beyond disappointed by our experience.
