The only time I actually love going into a brick and mortar store is to browse the shelves in a bookstore. Barnes and Nobles has a bit of everything and you can usually find some good reads on sale. Doesn't seem to be a lot of employees working however if you find one they are quite helpful. Also, there's a small Starbucks located in the store. I do wish there was a bit more seating throughout the store. read more

Welcoming atmosphere large book selection. There's a Starbucks at this location adding to the ambiance, they do an excellent job with the coffee. My hazelnut latte was piping hot :) There's more than books to peruse which is something I love about B&N you can read or shop or both at your own pace. This is a very nice bookstore. The books are very expensive, but that's basically every bookstore nowadays. The employees are kind here for the most part. There is a large section of Children's/Teens books and toys that are separated from the rest of the store, so it will be easy for your child to pick out a book. There is also a small Starbucks in this store. They serve all of Starbucks' drinks. They have different food and baked goods, though. There is one brownie with M&M's called a Blondie Blast. I've never seen it anywhere else, and it's literally the best thing ever. You really need to try it. I highly recommend this Barnes and Nobles. read more

It's a nice, clean store, the staff are nice, and it's never loud. However the organization is all over the place, the prices are steep for items not on sale, and there's no LGBT section to speak of, which I thought all B&Ns had before visiting this one. Honestly, if I can't get to a B&N in another city, I mostly come here to sit and study and browse and note down books to buy elsewhere later on. read more

The people who work here are very nice and per your normal B&N it is a huge space! This is a great indoor option to come on a rainy day and the employees never make you feel unwelcome. My daughter loves to look at the toys and read the books in the kid section. She also loves the Lego table and train table. I know they do story and activities sometimes too but we have never made it here for that. read more

Books store is clean but they moved their books around and their new setting sucks. Friendly workers. My main problem here is their Starbucks. I'm usually here once or twice a month. The last 3 times I was here getting my Starbucks drinks, they ALWAYS messed up my orders! All I want is a venti caramel frappe w/extra caramel drizzle! How hard can it be to give me extra drizzle!? This location usually has a good selection of books, as well as small gifts. Convenient location in the Shoppes at River Crossings makes it easy to pop by while shopping, or grabbing a meal. It also means though that the cafe gets pretty busy so it's hard to find a place to sit during peak hours. read more

We ordered two lattes with one man in front of us in the line and a woman behind us. They man received his coffee, and the person behind the counter made our espresso for the lattes. She then spoke with her friend, the woman who ordered after us, for 10 minutes while our espresso got cold and gave her friend her coffee. After that, she went back to making our lattes, which is exceptionally gross. No one wants a latte with 10 minute old espresso. I asked for our money back. I did not have the receipt because I threw it way expecting fast, fresh coffee and not a headache. Two managers could were called for the return and 15 minutes later they still couldn't figure out how to get the refund. I asked for a $20 cerificate instead of the refund as the transaction was $10 and I had been there 30 minutes with a baby The manager said that was a ridiculous request as I only paid $10. she has obviously never heard of compensating customers for their inconveniences and poor service. I left without the refund and without the coffee. That place is disgusting. read more

I love books so obviously this place gets a high rating. The staff is always friendly and I always have a good time when I walk in there. Reserving books is as easy as going to the check out and giving them a name, number, & email. And if the book isn't in stock they get it really fast. This is for the Starbucks at the Barnes and Noble. I think they need to train their employees how not to talk to each other while a customer is still around. The one girl that was working their last night always seems stressed or is never happy. The red head guy who came into help her after he was off the clock was so rude. Why was she the only employee there. I asked for a whole cheesecake, at first I was given the excuse that it can't be broken up, after I told her that's not what we were told the last time she agreed. The lady didn't seem happy to do it but did anyways. I did tell her that she can take all the time in the world, I wasn't in any hurry. We bought more stuff including a coffee, she leaves the coffee on the counter while we were browsing around the merchandise and doesn't even say anything. The red head guy who was off duty calls asks us if the coffee was ours. My friend proceeds to tell him, maybe the girl should smile a little more. He gets offended and mutters to himself loudly. Wow. Wow. Wow. And continually does so while helping customers. Finally the girl comes out with the cheesecake, and I'm like thank you very much, she's like thank you for your patience and I'm like not problem thank you. As soon as we turn around to walk away, the two say something to each other and the guy very loudly states oh those two guys they had no patience at all and I didn't catch what else he said. This when I get pissed off and give the guy a piece of my mind. I'm a paying customer, employees shouldn't talk about us like that when I can hear them. Not even an apology from the guy. Retrain your employees for better customer service. read more
