The place is a gold mine for lovers of music of all tastes with a wide range of CDs, DVDs and vinyl records. Every nook and cranny is crammed with musical delights and upstairs there is a wealth old vinyl sorted by decades and genre. They cover most bases from 50s and 60s rock through to modern dance music (although its not a dance music shop by any means). It like the record shop from film High Fidelity or how I imagine Wuxtry Records, Athens were Michael Stipe meet Peter Buck and formed R.E.M. You could get lost for hours inside (and I have in the past), if you dig around the website they often have a 10% off code as well.

They also offer music-based merchandise which I have walked out with before, many times. Some CDs can be a little pricey but this is due to their rarity, so I'll let that slide. The shop is small, but much like most shops in Frome, they did a good job of trying to organize it in a neat and tidy way which gives more room. They also sell DVDs. I have seen a number of wrestling and anime DVDs. I haven't bought one yet since they didn't have anything to my taste, but it's nice to have the convenience.

A bright and breezy shoe store with prices at the lower end of the scale…read more Situated bang in the middle of the town centre, this is a large double-fronted shop with a pleasant clean interior, and a wide selection of shoes on display. For ladies there is probably just about every category you might need, from work shoes to party shoes, sandals to boots. For children there is a reasonable selection of girls shoes although only a modest selection of boys shoes. A fairly basic but cover-all selection for men completes the line-up. A very useful shop for kitting out kids for school shoes as they grow out of them so quickly. If you're looking for Designer labels and designer quality then this isn't the place. It's inexpensive - although to be fair the quality is quite respectable for the price. Indeed I've several pairs of sandals that have lasted several years that cost well under a tenner. The only critisism is the lack of seating space to allow shoes to be tried on in comfort. At last count there were only two individual seats to perch on. It's not fun trying to balance on one leg, juggling bags and spare shoes, to try something on. So that's a customer service issue to be aware of, especially if you have younger children, or are an adult with mobility issues. Keep an eye out for their Reductions buckets inside and outside the store - if they have your size then you could pick up a real bargain. Also, they often have a very quirky and reasonably priced selection of slippers for sale, ifyou like the whimsical.

It always seems quite quiet but every time that I go here I buy something! There is a cafe which serves homecooked food for lunches and hot drinks and cakes throughout the day. Not your regular kind of shop and well worth a look if you are in the area.

The craft shop has a wide range of unique and unusual gifts from a few pounds up to ..well, more substantial prices! There are always some mesmorising investments pieces to be found but even if you do not have cash to splash, drink in the inspiration and quality workmanship then find yourself a smaller but still gorgeous trinket! Great cafe here as well for coffee and cake or a pleasant lunch. Finish off your visit with a look round the current exhibition and if you are lucky some craftspeople will be at work in their studios for you to see the magic take shape!

For the kitchen there is all sorts of crockery, chinaware, cookware, glassware, tableware and gadgets. From the traditional to retro to ulta modern. A small section of gardening miscellia - from seeds to patio furtniture, and bathroom accessories, and the helpful knowledgeable assistants can always advice on availability of anything you enquire after. For the home baker and the home preserver there are all the accessories you might need, along with the various little nuts and bolts that hark back to it's roots as a hardware store. A lovely store to browse, and I have often treated myself to a small item or two - and coveted many more!

This shop is like Aladin's Cave with something for everyone. It is much larger than it looks from…read morethe outside and is set over a few different levels. It sells lovely things, from cards, jewellery, purses etc to Christmas gifts and children's nic nacs. You could probably do most of your Chritmas shopping in this one place. The staff are really helpful when you are looking for something and they seem to have a good turnover of stock, so as a frequent shopper there is always something new to look at.

From ready-prepared meals, chilled foods and frozen foods to store-cupboard items, candies, biscuits and luxury foodstuffs, there is a mouth-watering selection. There is a small bakery section for freshly-baked pastries and tartlets, along with speciality breads and rolls. Towards the back of the store there is a compact but useful clothing section, mainly lingerie and basic key separates and frocks for ladies with some basics mens clothing too. This sits next to a small giftware and toiletries area. A store to visit when you can afford to pamper yourself. Only a short walk off the main market place, and situated right next to a car park, so convenient for all shoppers.

Although they do not have a huge library of retro games they have a decent amount, and they have a huge library of games for all of their consoles. The most I have seen is their PS3 collection. Also, the guy at the till is very friendly and has a nice smile on his face. That's service I like to have when buying games. I find in most shops I review, the game shops have the friendliest staff. Small, but it gets the job done right.
