First bed and breakfast I have stayed in and this place has me sold. Gorgeous, big old house with…read moreso much charm. Amazing wood framing and floors, private guest rooms (two share a large patio off the front of the house), two kitchens and so much more! The owners are the sweetest! They are more than helpful, accomodating, knowledgeable about the area (history and local events). Plus, they make a killer breakfast! As a "green girl" I sincerely appreciate the heath and sustainability of the couple and the property. Your eggs can be fried with coconut oil and paired with fresh vegetables from their garden. They compost and only clean with sustainable products. Also earth concious, they have solar panels and water efficient toilets. The rooms are cozy and the beds comfortable as can be. Even the pillows were great - I know because I usually have to travel with my own due to my TMJ. The master suite has a phenomenal hot tub (see pics) which is well worth the stay right there! Better than any of the finest hotel tubs in Vegas, which I know first hand. Note, it's right off a semi-busy street in town and you can sometimes hear the traffic, but when the windows and doors are closed you barely hear a thing. I highly recommend and can't wait for the opportunity to go back!

The building was a structurally sound gracious old home, yet the amenities were as modern and accommodating as one might find in a modern hotel. As I looked around in every room, on every wall, on every table and in every nook there was a well decorated elegance and charm - books, throws, photos, art and even grand pianos (2). More importantly Marty and Ann are the quintessential hosts. The perfect balance of charming and engaging without hovering around. Their breakfasts are delicious and Marty's coffee (New Orleans style) is the best. Don't miss breakfast! I cannot recommend their fine house and their warm company strongly enough. Tom and Allison

We've stayed at Deer Creek Inn and Winery about once a year since 2021, when I first discovered it…read moreshortly after the pandemic. At that time, it felt like a true bed-and-breakfast experience with thoughtful personal touches (guests were welcomed with a bottle of wine, breakfast was full and clearly made with care, and the overall atmosphere felt warm and attentive). Over the past couple of years, especially since the addition of their second location, I've noticed some changes in the overall experience. The level of personal interaction feels more limited than it used to, and check-in and general hospitality have become more minimal. I do understand how difficult it can be to find and retain good staff in the hospitality industry, and I appreciate the effort that goes into running a business like this. The biggest change for me has been the food and dining experience. They are no longer offering a bottle of wine in the room, but a glass of wine ordered at the bar. Breakfast, which used to be a real highlight is now much more basic and doesn't feel as thoughtfully prepared as it once did. Pricing has also increased, while the overall food offerings have decreased in both variety and quality. One of our favorite extras used to be the charcuterie platter for two, which we would order one each stay and enjoy in our room. We've stopped ordering it because both the portion size and product quality no longer felt consistent with the price or with our earlier experiences. Overall, I still like Deer Creek Inn, our favorite rooms are the Brooks Deluxe Suite and the Celebration room. We will continue to visit occasionally, but it no longer has quite the same special feel it once did for us, so I won't be going as often as I used to.

By far the most amazing bed and breakfast I've ever visited!…read more The home (reconstructed and build by the owners) sits atop the highest peak in the area and overlooks the most amazing rolling hills. In the early morning hours and sometimes even during the day - the surrounding hills cover with fog and you feel like you're standing on an island in the middle of the ocean. It's utterly breathtaking. (I highly recommend staying in the upstairs bedroom! Super comfy beds, an awesome bathroom/shower, and a perfect view of the rolling hills!) A large group of wedding vendors and I photographed a styled wedding on the property and we couldn't have been happier with the end result. There are acres and acres of beautiful trails to walk, a large pond full of fish, an awesome bonfire and outdoor bar, as well as a beautiful barn on the land. The space is utterly perfect for country or outdoor weddings! I cannot wait to visit again - both for professional reasons and for personal! (Also, the owners, Sandy and Lou are two of the sweetest people I've ever met! If you love stories about history - ask them questions! They have so many great tales to tell!)
