Paid double for the wood we used, paid double for the kayaks 2 of my children used. When questioned, the owner got snappy and rude. The camper sites are small if you have any sort of camper with any slide outs, there is very little room to play with out feeling like you are spying on the camper next to you. The campground is for sale. We will not consider coming back until it sells and there are new owners.

If anyone would like to see the letter she mailed to my 87 year old father, who had been a seasonal for over 15 years and who's wife was on Hospice and just recently passed away, let me know and I would be happy to share the eviction letter he got from her. My dad didn't spend a lot of time at his seasonal site last year, because he was taking care of my mother. Now that she has passed, he doesn't have his seasonal site to enjoy this year and beyond. My dad loved the campground and the previous owners. PLEASE DO NOT SUPPORT THIS CAMPGROUND OR MICHELLE FUSSY THE OWNER, There are plenty of beautiful campgrounds in the area to support. I would give her a negative 10 review if I could. I put this same review on last fall, but was forced to remove it because she purposely overcharged by dad's electric bill and would only agree to his calculation if I took my review off here. THIS CAMPGROUND OWNER IS DECEITFUL

There is no laundry or mail service. Seasonal spots are very clean, which tells me the owners have high standards. By the main office the lots are level and grassy. It's geared towards self-contained units. There is one toilet with a few showers far from the camping area. I could probably squeeze my 45' MH in here. It's definitely travel trailer and 5th wheels or a smaller MH. It is family focused. The lower level of the campground is on the shores of the Platte River and the Mississippi. Very grassy, treed spots that are level. A nice play ground near the bathrooms which are clean but the showers are up the hill. These are W/E only sites. This place is big and meticulously. For that reason, the family/workers are very curt with their answers as they are there to work and not socialize. So if you are looking for warm fuzzies you will not find them here. This place is on the higher end. To camp nowadays it is expensive. Visitors have to pay an entrance fee. Wood is $6/bundle. No foreign wood allowed. For any campground/RV resort, always read all the rules and regs before you make your reservations. They can usually be found on the website.

We ended our night playing yard games outside and making s'mores around a fire. It was a great time! Larson's Barn has a beautiful dance floor that we used for our first dance. Kathy is very easy to work with, even when we got there late to set-up the day before. There was a frost warning the day before the wedding and Kathy was sure to cover all of the flower beds. The next day although jack frost had come through all of the plants and flowers looked great. Since our entire group was from out of the area we also rented the small cabin and the under the barn apartment for the weekend. It was great for all of the bridesmaids and groomsman to be onsite, less stressful for everyone. We even had a hairstylist come out to the barn to do the girls hair. Everything was very convenient for being in the country of MN.
