We've been taking our Yorkshire Terrier here for 8 years and have always been happy with the quality of her haircut and the quality of her care. Our dog can be a bit of a diva to put it nicely and they are patient and kind and don't rush through the haircut and upset her. If she's having a bad day they will let her go chill out and come back and finish later. I can't stress enough how amazing that is---they care more about the dog's well being than getting the grooming done as quickly as possible. If it takes 2-3 hours then that is what it takes and I love that they put the dog first. They also have washing stations where you can bring in your muddy mutt and wash them yourself. It means you won't have to make a mess in your bathroom and they have everything you'd need. They also offer kenneling, doggy daycare and a full shop on site with food, snacks and other pet accessories. I can't recommend it enough and I'd never think of taking our dog anywhere else.

On the Ball were great to communicate with - I simply messaged them through facebook and made a date for them to come to my place in their van. As Joffrey is just a puppy, Becca suggested just giving him a shot in the van without any actual grooming, just to get him used to the experience. Becca was so good with Joffrey, friendly and comforting and he really loved her. She showed him the scissors, clippers and comb, and was really gentle and getting him used to these new things. Joffrey was really happy throughout and she was even able to clip his paws without any problems. I'll definitely be using On the Ball for all Joffrey's grooming as Becca made the experience so relaxing and enjoyable.

My dog is a cross, so I could not say 'it is a dalmation/labrador etc when she asked what breed. She got a bit huffy and said she coudl not give a price over the phone even though I had said just an estimate would be good and said the dog was about the same size as a collie. Not overly friendly again when I brought the dog in which is worrying as you love your dog and want reassured they will be nice peole and will treat your dog well when you are not there. On pick up the dog looked great, well groomed and she went through what had been done. I think the palce is ok, and am sure they would be nice to your dog, but perhaps they need to look at improving their customer service?

They also offer a pick up and return service for when you are pushed for time, I believe that this covers Irvine, Kilmarnock, Cumnock, Galstone, Darvel, Newmilns, Crosshouse, Dreghorn, Tarbolton, Troon, Monkton,Ayr, Prestwick and surrounding areas. Approximately 5 miles from the A77 Ayr to Glasgow road, so easy access. Your dog will love it there.

Only had my IPL done here, no other treatment but would recommend it 100% to anyone.I have had an incredibly bad experience with IPL from another salon in which my skin was burned the salon that caused me the harm didn't help whatsoever. A therapist from this salon actually gave me some helpful suggestions to reduce the long term damage to my skin caused by the other salon. Great place.

Going up the stairs to the treatment area was a similar story, there was leaflets and boxes and bottles of water everywhere. i just think they should go along the lines of less is more. the staff seemed friendly enough though. all thought i thought the dog in the reception area was lovely and friendly, do you really want a treatment from someone whos just been stroking a dog?!

Even though this is on the small side, the space is managed well and it has a wide range of stock. Ranging from a good selection of animals themselves as well as all the food, treaties and paraphernalia you could ever require/seek to find. The few occasions in which I have been in the staff have always been friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. Since discussing pet shops with other people (and I have a friend or ten who currently own pets...), they have ALL been super positive about this shop too.
