Food is solid. Nice portion. Service was prompt. Small, cozy place w a welcoming friendly vibe thanks to the owners and family. Wholesome Filipino feel and experience

We were just visiting town and wanted to grab a quick bite. We are glad we could find this place. The staff and the chef were amazing friendly people. The food speaks for his passion. I ordered few dishes and sampled a few, damn every thing was amazing. We got the 1. Poke Bowl (5/5), just go with their recommendation. Its colorful, fresh and healthy. The portion was huge too. 2. Bao buns (5/5) super tender meat in a soft Boa, the spice, sweet combo was excellent. 3. The Bourbon Chicken (4/5) The chicken was cooked great but I craved for more sauce. 4. Pork Adobo (5/5) sample - The meat was super tender and ton of flavor. 5. Flan (5/5) Luckily I got the last one it was amazing. Overall a great local place and would highly recommend to go here if you are in town.

Pork belly bao's! Large portions!

Best poke I've ever eaten! The bao's were so delicious too! No skimping on the pork belly! Very friendly owners, clean and nice! Small inside so don't bring more than 8-10! I live in ATL and our local poke place isn't nearly this good!

Ate most of the adobo before remembering to take a photo!

Finally got to try this place out and I am so glad I did! The front is very unassuming in a small building plaza. There are a few tables lined against the wall with the ordering/cooking station making up the rest of the space. Sometimes I want to eat chicken adobo without making it myself and this hit the spot. I ordered the adobo, veggie dumplings with chili oil, and the lumpia. The girl behind the counter was SO nice and helpful. She showed me different menu items (even though I knew what I wanted coming in thanks to their daily Instagram story!) and let me know they take requests if contacted a week prior. The adobo came with 3 drumsticks and plenty of rice with marinated cucumber and a boiled egg. Absolutely delicious! The dumplings were good with a surprising amount of heat. I like my lumpia with a bit more veggie and these were majority meat, but still very yummy. I will be coming back the next time I'm in the area!

Interested in something different and close to home. I feel we got lucky when we found Barkada Bowl. We ordered 2 Pork Asado bowls and 2 flans. Mouthwatering delicious. We can't wait to try another dish.

Delicious and fresh food, top notch service, clean and cute environment. If you haven't been here, you should definitely come ! This place just opened not long ago and it's a hidden gem. Definitely the place for poke in cocoa area. Most people come to the beach and eat heavy, fried, and unhealthy food. But this is the perfect option for someone like me who wants a lighter and healthier seafood option. The poke bowls with everything in it is so colorful and well presented. The fish is fresh. Flavors are just right. There are just enough sauce options for everyone. It comes with seaweed salad too ! If you're not into poke, then try the Filipino bowl. I actually liked the brisket more than Adobo. Just because it was more tender and juicy. In terms of flavor, both were just as good. Their pickled cucumber on this bowl is to die for. And I loved that it came with plain boiled eggs. The owners were so friendly, they had great suggestions on things to do nearby. It's always nice to be able to have a good conversation with the people who run the place. You can tell they're passionate about their food and the people they serve. The only down side here is there's limited seating areas in the store. I think there's about 10 seats total. So if you have a big group just make sure you take that into consideration. As a side note, the restroom was absolutely clean! This is always something I look for. I'm sure someone appreciates clean restrooms. I'll be back everytime I come to cocoa beach !

Drove all the way to cocoa beach with some friends to eat here at Barkada bowl. My friend Mark brought us here. It was worth the drive even though I didn't drive. We arrived close to 8p. When they were close to closing up shop but they were amazing about it and accommodated 5 of us. I ordered a pork adobo rice bowl. My friend ordered a poke bowl. I loved my pork adobo. The pork was perfect, not overcooked and the rice was nice and juicy with all the adobo sauce. Delicious. Ordered a halo halo afterwards. Cannot go wrong with that. Enjoyed my meal very much. Nikki was also awesome! Barkada bowl is a must try when stopping by Cocoa beach!

We are from Hawaii and visited Orlando for a couple days. On our way to Jacksonville, we cruised through Cape Canaveral . We stopped at Barkada Bowl. All I can say is everything is tasty and the customer service is Ohana based. The staff are very experienced and truly believes in providing exceptIonal service. Anytime they deal with food, we noticed them with gloves and washing hands constantly. We got a little bit of everything. Adobo, Poke bowl, Sinigang, Dinuguan, HaloHalo, and a sample of pancit from his catering order! Damn so good! Catering is definitely recommended! Dexter, continue teaching the young ladies about customer service and continue your love for food! You are doing a phenomenal job sir! Love and Aloha!

Friendly family owned cafeteria style biz with limited seating in a small shopping center. My adobo was $15 a bit pricy, but worth it. The gravy was tasty mixed with rice with tender well seasoned meat, boiled egg, & yummy pickled cucumber. I'd love to try a diff dish next time I'm in town.

DO YOURSELF A FLAVOR FAVOR AND GO HERE!! This little gem is a diamond in the touristy rough for anyone who wants something a bit different and incredibly tasty. The Pork Adobo was literally the best I've ever had. The combo of ingredients and the stand alone flavor of the pork had me melting at the table. The Shanghai Lumpia (little fried rolls w/a Thai Chili style sauce to dunk) was sooo good, came out super hot and oh so flavorful. Even the Thai Chili was more complex than your typical. The Steamed Bao bun 3 pack were a 10/10 in every way. The sweet/spicy/savory flavor the ingredients create was really something special. Lastly, the owner was working today. He prepared everything with a great attitude and an expertise in the creation of these dishes. The reviews don't lie, he really knows what he's doing people. I wish this spot was in my city!

After a long day of biking around Cape Canaveral, my boyfriend and I visited this place. I was really craving Bao Buns and this was the closest spot. We got a poke bowl and they let us try this rice noodle mixed with pork, corn, and other veggies. Needless to say all the food AMAZING. And the customer service was awesome too, very nice sociable people. I can see why they have all 5 star ratings. If you're craving poké bowls or filipino food this is the spot to go!

So delighted we found this gem! The owners were so kind and welcoming to us.. detailing the menu offerings.. and answering any and all questions we had! We chose to do the custom poke bowls. I had the combo of all three and my friend had the salmon poke bowl. We were overwhelmed with how delicious it was, and honestly said oh my word, and yum, mmmm repeatedly during the inhalation of said poke bowls! Our only disappointment was we didn't find this place sooner!

Adobo
Foodie T.

I'm a Filipino and they honestly make the best adobo I have ever had! Now don't tell my mom.. but it's actually better then hers! It's tender, tangy and tasty! They specialize in Poke bowls that has fresh seafood and high quality ingredients. I definitely recommend this quaint, family owned business!

Did I hear that you have lumpia certain days of the week?

Just call ahead and they will have it ready for you. They use an air fryer so not as crispy if it was deep fried.

They also have hotdogs, Langunisa, tapa, Bangus, pampano, smoke fish. Amazing even can goods like Ligo sardines, palm corn beef and liver spreads. However, my favorite part of Filipino culture is so far the cuisine. Though Deguzmans in Orlando is the place to go for authentic Filipino cuisine such as kare-kare, dinaguan, bistek, and other dishes, the one Asian market local to where I love to get Filipino wares such as Filipino ice cream, Filipino snacks, and Filipino drinks is the Fil-Am Oriental Store. The small store is located in a very small two-story shopping complex just east of the Babcock St. and Malabar Rd. intersection. Upon entering, you'll notice the store consists of two fridge cases, four small aisles, and four cooler boxes in the back. To be honest, the selection they have is very limited. However, what they do have is what I want Filipino food-wise that no other Asian food market around here has. First and foremost, they have numerous flavors of Selecta ice cream. Buko pandan, mango, halo-halo, and ube. They have Filipino snacks and desserts, the three-in-one coffee packets, and the grass jelly drinks. Oh, and they also have the spiced vinegar, That may not sound like much, but it is a lot to me. Besides the unique selection of items that happens to be stuff I want and/or need, the family who owns the grocery is really nice. I have come to know the them and are considered friends of the family. I actually missed them at my niece's birthday party simply because I was fashionably late. To be fair though, almost all Asians consider each other family once we get to know each other. Back on Fil-Am Oriental Store, it is a "hidden gem" of an Asian grocery store that many people may not even know about. I really hope the are able to expand and increase their selection. For now, they have what is necessary among Asians (and other ethnic groups around here), but if they get popular enough to increase their inventory, their customer base living in South Palm Bay will surely be thankful instead of having to drive all the way to either Jason's Everyday Produce, the closest Asian grocery with a wider selection of goods that Fil-Am Oriental Store may lack.

Ergo, I must have only the products and ingredients that deliver in quality in high quantities if need be. Thank God for K & C Oriental Market. It does not specifically specialize in one particular Asian country, but caters to them all just enough to get by with basics. Located in a small shopping strip on the northeast quadrant of the Wickham Rd. and Aurora Rd. intersection, K & C Oriental Market is located near a sport's bar that serves seafood (can't remember the name to save my life). It advertises itself as catering to every Asian ethnicity out there including Chinese, Japanese, Indonesian, Thai, Korean, Cambodian, and Filipino. I am sure there are more but I can't name them all off the top of my head. What K & C will have are ingredients universally used among all Asian countries like noodles, certain vegetables, and the like. They do have some special preference items depending on country too like black bean noodles (Korean), thousand-year old eggs (Chinese), and even coconut sweet rice wrapped in banana leaves (Filipino). Prepackaged goods can either be necessary or a novelty (stuff you can find at an anime or K-pop store) but are cheaper than most places. Finally, they actually have hardware from Asian countries like bamboo mats, kitchenware, and even straw hats. Overall, my "go-to" place when it comes to general Asian needs for cooking. Once again, the largest selection I can think of outside of Jason's Everyday Produce but nothing they specialize in. On a side note, I would not buy fresh or frozen ingredients from here or any Asian store. Reason has nothing to do with quality as they are good, but places like Thrifty Produce have the same at a cheaper price.

It's still a good collection, but if you really want to see an even more expansive Asian selection then I'd recommend hitting up the Asian markets over in Orlando. The store itself is a little bit congested and can be hard to move around if there's multiple people (5 or more). The aisles are made for one person at a time so it can be a little of a waiting game. They also have some baked goods at the counter for purchase. It's decent, but unsure how fresh it is. I ended up getting their Banh Bao and it was okay, but not as fresh as I would have hoped. The bread part was a little bit dry and the pork center was pretty simple. The Red Bean Hopia was straight forward and the Green Tapioca Yellow Bean dessert was the same. Pretty good and will hit the spot, but not the most freshly baked items.
