On Russell's first visit to our home, Ozzie hid behind the sofa for 30 minutes. Before Russell left, Ozzie was eating out of his hand and rolling over for belly rubs. We've been working together for over a month now, and it's like I have a different dog. The techniques that Russell has taught me to use with Ozzie as well as explaining how my actions and reactions influence his behaviors has been invaluable. This would be her first time to a facility to groom. She was a little nervous and scared. I said it's okay, as she pushed towards the door. The woman running the grooming section scolding me and said, no you do not say it's okay, because it's not okay. Sorry to correct you but our trainers would say the same thing. I was trying to comfort a panicked puppy. I did not mean her behavior was okay, but that she would be okay. Our puppy is obviously still in training and this is not our first puppy. This was our first time ever having a dog groomed, first impressions and actions are important. I found it unprofessional and insulting the way she spoke to me. She did a nice job with the grooming, but I would not recommend this particular place to anyone with a puppy, young dog or first time grooming. I do not feel it is right to insult customers and treat them like trash the moment they walk in the door. UPDATE: As you can see from the owner's response. They obviously DO NOT care about their customers'. I did NOT react negatively, nor was I reinforcing fearful behavior. We have had many dogs and have them professionally trained. We understand the do's and don't of training dogs. As an owner of several businesses myself for over 25 years, this is not the way you treat customers. It's not what you say, it's how you say it. If it had not been for the fact that we had a scheduled appointment that was scheduled weeks out, I would have walked right out of the door. Very rude to speak to customers this way! Changing to a 1-star review after owner feedback. UPDATE: The response from the Owner is NOT anything I ever wrote. I stand by my rating. I would NOT recommend this groomer. They are terrible.

I was listening to and I have left without spending money that wasn't necessary, but getting my dog treated for exactly what they needed to have done with the understanding that if they need further treatment all I needed to do was call. I highly recommend Mebane Veterinary Hospital for not just emergencies but for regular care, toenail cuts, etc. Everyone is very, very friendly, kind, helpful, patient, and professional. They are honest about their hours, how busy they are , how long the wait will be, and you can ask them upfront about estimated cost before you even go. That really helps me with my budgeting and to know what to expect for the minimum cost and additional cost.

Both times the training greatly exceeded expectations. Within two lessons, Hazel drastically improved her ability to walk politely. I no longer worry about Hazel pulling hard on the leash when we are walking past other dogs, as I now have training tools to help keep her attention on me. In addition to training, Hazel also has stayed with Lateria when we go out of town. She always comes back happy, clean, and tired from playing. Mike is one of the best trainer's we've ever met and I can't express how happy we were with choosing him. He is professional, extremely knowledgeable with decades of experience training dogs, and most of all really does care about your dog. But even more important than that, he cares more about who your dog could become; stronger, happier, and more capable in every way. As I'm sure you can relate, its hard to choose the right trainer for your pups. They're family and we love them like children so this can make us very protective of them. We want them treated right and with love. Sometimes that makes us overly protective of them and blinds us to the fact that our own over-loving can be what's contributing to behavioral or confidence issues with our dogs! Sometimes we just don't even realize we are holding our dogs back and that discipline and structure is the best love you can give them. To some people his methods may seem harsh at first, but I assure they are safe and effective. My wife and I were this way at first, but after we understood the process and saw the results, we were converted. Structure, then love. And the love will fix your dog, but first there needs to be structure. This was the case with our 5 year old pitty Max. He is the goofiest sweetheart and was never aggressive, but had major confidence issues. He was good with dogs, but fearful of people and even flies. Any loud-ish noise would make him nervous and he had separation anxiety. We brought him to Mike to get some training on being less afraid of people. We thought he was pretty well trained and only needed some touching up. From the first session we found out that his issues were much deeper than that. And worst of all we had no idea that we were essentially contributing to them and reinforcing his nervous state. Through the next 3 weeks we left Max with Mike for intensive training of which we participated in 3-4 training sessions a week. Max made great progress, but more importantly, we did too as his dog parents. Mike taught us so much about dog psychology and how to better communicate with him. By the end of the training we were doing what we thought would be impossible with Max; calmly hanging out at a brewery with him! Mike taught us all how to be more confident and build a better relationship together. Mike's training exceeded our expectations and it was worth every penny.

Chris then showed us around the kennels and suggested dogs that would fit our family perfectly. We loved his suggestions and took home Jubal aka Jubilee. He's already learned three commands and showed us how quick he learns. Chris was outstanding, listened to the needs of our family and provided top quality customer service. The volunteers and staff were polite, attentive to caring for the animals and the kennels were being cleaned as we toured. We would highly recommend this no-kill facility.

They need to be bigger for some of us who are hard of seeing. At any rate, there was plenty of parking for disabled parties and there was plenty of space inside for us to move around. There is only one working door and you have to be able to pull it. Enter. I did not go into the back, so I can't tell you about the operation inside but the front desk staff was very nice. I would definitely donate again.
