Before going I asked if I would be able to speak to the girl grooming my dog and was told yes. When I arrived, the owner said the groomer was her daughter and she had a long day, had to get something to eat so just let her know what I wanted done with my dog and she would relay it. I said cut about 1/2 off since winter is coming so she still has fur and cutout the 3 little mats if she can't comb them out. She asked if I wanted her tail kept long and I said YES. I came back in 2 1/2 hrs later for my 5 lb dog and my poor doggie was shaved to the bone with her tail and ears chopped short. The woman insisted that she was not shaved. There was no hair left on her that you could comb or grab. I call that shaved. I will never let anyone touch her again without meeting the actual groomer (which of course, I thought I was going to meet). Needless to say, neither of us were happy. Now she's shivering and ever since this, she is not eating like she used to. She used to wolf down her food; now she starts to eat, then backs up, plops her bottom down and looks around like something is scareing her. I don't know what they did, but there's something that is now inscribed in her little head that she can't seem to forget. Stay Away! We found the front desk staff person to be unkind, uncaring, rude, argumentative and confrontational. She spoke to us like we were children and told us our grooming would "cost more money" if we did less services. She spoke to us as if we had no clue about our own dogs or grooming and said the dogs would be in "more pain" if we did not do exactly what they wanted. We were already paying a premium to them and we tip well. I would not recommend this place at all. I would not trust them with my dogs. read more

My small 15lb dog has been getting groomed for 11 years. He has always been considered small for pricing purposes. When I called and made the appt the lady told me small dogs are $65. I took him and got a text when he was finished that it would be $75. I inquired as to why because I wanted to understand the criteria for small/med etc and the owner replied back letting me know it costs a lot to run a business and if I would like to find a cheaper groomer she can recommend some. All I wanted to know was why he was not considered small like he has been for the past 11 years. First and last time patronizing this place. Its a shame because the groomer herself was very nice. New to the area. Have an older Springer Spaniel. Approximately 2 months ago I took him to groomer within walking distance. After getting him home I noticed he had difficulty walking, he had clipper burns on his belly and he was bleeding. In addition, his inside ear area was not done and toe hair not cut. He was neglected and abused. I explored looking for a new groomer. I am so happy that I found BARK IN STYLE! They are wonderful!!!!! He's now been groomed and bathed by BARK IN STYLE and he looks great. No limp from his legs being pulled out; no clipper burn; ears clipped; toe hair gone!
