If you need or want help finding something in particular at this nursery the staff is more than willing to take the time and show you around. If you want to just wander around and look for yourself they are more than happy to let you alone. At this point in the year they seem to be pretty much fully stocked geared up and ready to go. Trees, small medium large. bushes evergreens perennials. I know last year I shopped around a little bit and found Arbor Farms nursery to be very competitive if not better priced. Price, selection, and how helpful they are has made this a "go to" for me.

This location is pretty small compared to their other locations but for what I have been after they have filled my needs. I have been on their lawn program all year and have to say I have been extremely happy. I have neighbors stop me while mowing my yard and ask what am I doing so special. My only is I am following the Zamzows lawn care program. What is also nice about this place is since morning I have away a bunch of stuff so I don't have a lawn spreader anymore. Not to worry they let you borrow one free of charge...the employees here are always great. They have been very knowledgeable and have been able to answer and of my questions. Being that this place is smaller the selection is not what you might be used to, but for what I have been here for they have exactly what I have been looking for. Pricing is realistic, delivery affordable and reliable. I initially stumbled upon Diamond Street Recycling on Yelp (weird), I sent out a message and within hours Tifani was in contact and was welcoming with all my questions. After a few back and forth exchanges with prices and measurements I called to make an order! Tifani was great! I ordered and two days later I had my top soil delivered. Delivery day the driver called to let me know when he would arrive (I had a window of time). When the driver arrived we chatted briefly, I directed him where to put the top soil and he was out of there! Because of this great experience I want to make up new projects in my yard that will need Diamond Street's material.

Sadly, there are ugly a$$ townhomes now where this nursery used to be on Hill Rd. Baffling to me that they'd tear down a wonderful place just to put up something so ugly. But whatever, right? It's happening everywhere around Boise. Ok! Enough of that! Last year, I planted 8 rose bushes and 8 delphiniums. Thankfully all my roses are still alive, but only 5 of my delphiniums came back. I also planted clematis. Lemme say. I did not get them here hahaha! I just realized last year....hey! Am I actually *good* at this gardening thing? And for someone who absolutely LOATHES summer! It was nice to finally find something that's as enjoyable as keeping amazing plants alive. I added 2 more rose bushes this year. Total of 10 now. It's very exciting for me. Again, did not buy at north end nursery, but I'm getting to my point lol. After all these years and now visiting any and all nurseries I can...I finally went into North End the other day and HOLY SH*T! What an amazing place! I mean, it has like a little store that is separate from gardening, but what they sell looks like it was all garden related...if that makes sense. There's a coffee shop inside the store! I hate coffee, but haha, seriously, what a brilliant idea! This store feels like a homey home. AND the BEST part...their best employees they have...DOGS!!! The dogs walking around and greeting people absolutely sold me 100% on this place! One rolled over for me to give her belly rubs at the same time a little cream colored one gave me tons of kisses on my nose! Seriously, how can anyone NOT like this place? Even if you're not a dog person, you have to admit...having like 4 dogs walking around as the greeters....even more brilliant than the coffee shop and honestly, just a beautiful thing to have as part of your business. I absolutely LOVE dogs and seeing them there and how sweet they are..made my day. The nursery is out back and the layout is fantastic and so homey. This really is a special place. Madeline's on Hill Rd has always been a favorite of mine (ya know, now that I actually love having a garden) but definitely added North End to my favorite places. Madeline's also has a very sweet doggie there who greets everyone. So yeah, if there is a dog or dogs...honestly, that's an immediate 5 stars for me haha. North End you'd expect to be super expensive. It's organic. Organic anything is way overpriced imo. The prices here there are very comparable to Edwards, Madeline's and others. There are definitely some things...like... Ok, I really want hanging baskets of flowers but I will NOT spend the $$ these places charge. I saw one at North end for $115!!! Gurl! Bye! Hard no hahaha! When I visit my mom back east, I can go to the Mennonites or Amish farms/nurseries and get huge baskets for $7! SEVEN. DOLLARS! That is stuck in my head. So when I see these prices everywhere here in Boise for the hanging flower baskets..I just cannot. Aside from that, I 1000% will be coming back to North End. This place, Madeline George's, and Edward's are my go to's now. All honestly offer their own unique experiences, plants, customer service etc. I called North End last week looking for a Blue Girl rose bush. He was nice enough to refer me to the other nurseries. I love when they do that. Told me to check Edwards. No luck. Found the LAST ONE tho at Far West. Another great nursery. I'm glad I joined the world of gardening. First the employees here at this location are exceptional. They are always friendly and from when you walk in and are greeted it's something most retailers lack. I also enjoy just wondering around the store to find what new treasures they have. A fee in particular that I would say I have most shopped for is anything BBQ and smoker supplies. This place has an awesome selections and probably one of the best with grills, accessories from suppliers like Traeger, Meat Church, Blackstone, Camp chef and others...plus their selection of Dewalt power tools and accessories is the best I have ever seen. I have also found the clothing selection and most likely the best Carhart selections and variety in all of retail. With other brands like Ariat and Kuhl as well as many others. What I love about this place is that you can get bbq pellets, seasonings, bbq sauce, jackets, clothing, pet/ranch food, ranching supplies, any hunting or fishing, power tools, bird seed, holiday toys, Yeti, fireplaces, plants, landscaping material, farm equipment, yard power equipment, beef jerky and one of the best local and homemade candy selections I have seen. Plus their prices rival any big box retailer and their sales are great value! I would highly recommend if you have never been in a D&B supply to check one out. This would be my dream retirement job for sure!
