A nutritionist/dietitian is not only someone who advises and consults to help with an…read moreindividualized weight loss program. She/he is also a partner to the individual attempting the diet & is important to staying in a positive mindset. Dr. Dadkhah has proven to be such a partner for me in my efforts to lose weight. I am making progress and I am losing weight when I have never been able to do so alone in the past. My clothes are getting bigger & I have had to change to smaller sizes in some things. I have more energy & I feel like I am making progress. I very much look forward to meeting with Dr. Dadkhah. Without our time I don't have anyone to really discuss my diet. My efforts to lose weight are my main focus of life & I think about it all the time. None of my family & friends are overweight so for me this would be a solo journey if not for Dr. Dadkhah. The information she shares with me is always valuable but what's most most helpful for me is to have someone who is willing to talk about nutrition and food. She is enthusiastic in helping me to understand nutrition, physical exercise & what foods work best for my diet. And she patiently answers all my questions. She has even encouraged me to send emails between our meetings to share my questions or concerns so that we can discuss at the next meeting which has been very helpful technique for me. She also shares engaging videos to help me understand why she is encouraging certain things in my diet & why it's important. Meeting with Dr. Dadkhah energizes me and gets me jazzed up to continue to go forward. Whereas when I don't have that time with her then it's harder to stay as excited about dieting plus without our meeting then my weight loss seems more like hard work & as if a chore. I stay on the diet when we don't meet but I don't feel as enthused when doing this alone. I now understand that it helps to have a dietitian who understands where you are & what you are feeling & someone who can offer suggestions. I'm realizing that dieting is an individual journey but one still needs someone to go along the journey with you. Someone who cares about what you are experiencing & wants you to be successful. Someone who tries to help figure out where things got off track if weight loss slows down, & figure out a new plan. For me, Dr. Dadkhah is that person who does all those things for me. I am an introvert but it's nice to have a dietitian where I can go talk about my thoughts, experiences, worries, challenges, setbacks, etc. Without my time with Dr. Dadkhah in this process then the whole diet thing would be so much harder to do. She is able to teach me & advise me but she also listens to me and helps me keep my thoughts on track so I don't follow a negative or wrong way of thinking. She celebrates my good weeks & she keeps me from feeling bad on weeks that are less successful. What I've learned is that dieting is not a cookie cutter deal. No one diet works for everyone. So what you may read on the Internet may not be what works best for you. I have learned to trust that Dr. Dadkhah is helping me to identify what is best for ME, & I have to trust what she suggests rather than go by something I may read on the Internet. She has created a weight loss program that is individualized to me, what works best for me, a program I can stick with. And I am grateful that I found her to help me through this journey of losing weight.

We came for an assessment on a Saturday at 9:30, after waiting an hour we were told they would have to reschedule as the person who does the assessment did not come to work that day. We returned a week later and the assessment consisted of them weighing my daughter and then asking for a $50 deposit to return to see the Dr to get prescription medication. We returned another week later. They weighed my daughter. They Were unable to draw bloodwork and then detained me to pay for the visit. Should have been $149 since I paid the $50 deposit. While I was detained the took my daughter back with the Dr where the Dr proceeded to tell my daughter she needed portion control and to get prescription medication I needed to go to our pediatrician. We are new to the area without health insurance. They charged my card the full $199. when I questioned what I was paying for, they said "you met with the Dr" 2 minutes with the Dr, A complete rip off and false advertising. On my card right now are 2 pending transactions. $199 and $149, too bad I can't give zero stars.

To the woman at the front desk: you deserve a better place to work. If I hadn't asked questions, this place would have continued to overcharge me. I was finally fed up with my weight gain, so I took out some savings and took the step. My first appointment was pretty interesting. I learned my metabolism, body composition, and how to track the diet. They forgot to send me home with the tracking notebook, but no big! I tracked on my own. The entry package was about $450. After that, if I got both shots every week, it was supposed to be $110 a week. Sweet. I went back the next week and they asked me for just under $300. When I was surprised, to say the least, they claimed I had been "undercharged" during my last visit. I walked through the "math" several times with the staff, but every time there was no explanation for the additional payment required. This is supposed to be the starter package. So it should always cost the same thing, right? They said yes... CONFUSED! The discussion ended with a price of about $160 (... not $110), and immediately after that they asked me for $230! So I said, "No. You told me ten seconds ago it was $160." To which they said, "Oh, yes. My mistake." They were about to charge me the wrong amount without reviewing anything. This place is for the people that can throw money at someone for accountability. I was told I received more shots than I did (I mean I had the holes in my arm to prove it). When determining what I owed they kept looking at the computer and then referencing a marked up sheet of paper on the desk. Note: the woman that works the front desk is an angel. So kind and genuine. The man that was working with her kept talking over her, shifting the blame onto her, and couldn't explain the reason for the extraneous charges. The man was condescending towards me (and the woman) as though I should just not ask questions and hand over my card, and the woman needs to find another job where she will be valued. This place should be investigated. Either someone is stealing money and adjusting the prices to be able to or they really have no idea what they're charging or for what and are just gambling.

My family doctor raved about this practice, as I met him after a unfortunate double black diamond slope. Definitely don't go 40 mph to 0mph at complete stopping speed. Physics in this case is "problematic." While I did appreciate the snowmobile ride, from a truly nutty firefighter I had heard of, next year hoping no encore will be happening. This incident left my back spasms, and some lovely contusions I believe they are called. My doc gave me some muscle relaxers, which were similar to Mike Tyson punching me in the face. Also he had the unfortunate experience, of my gluteus Maximus in the air, administering a muscle relaxer that way. Needles tend not to affect me, but it looked like it was for a horse. While I did grow a mane and a tail, it was only a temporary side effect. When I walked in here, the staff were very helpful and friendly. Yet the suspicious/skeptical part of me, wasn't sold quite yet as I just wasn't sure a chiropractor would be able to do anything. As a man I'll never admit to being wrong due to man laws, but my thoughts were incorrect. All of the staff here are great, as the office and medical folks are a lot of fun. There's a lot of positivity here, and they with the electrical machinery, ultrasound, and electric shock collar have changed things a lot. Ok the electric shock collar is a joke. The wonderful ladies here, reminded me an important lesson from my days as a student athlete. Stretching is important. While I'll trade my hamstrings for a pack of $5 Chuck wine from Trader Joe's, they've helped loosen these up. Light jogs and workout sessions are proving the strings are working better. No back spasms since going here. Dr Finch is awesome. She is truly caring, and has after getting me to relax, feel a lot younger than my bald head and greying hair may indicate. The first sessions were ok, yet every appointment gets better and better. Today she did a maneuver on my neck, and yes I am back to being 25 again. Am a very grateful man. After Dr Persauds constant fighting my Scottish tenacity with the benefits of diet change, plus these sessions at this office, I'm feeling much better. The main goals at this point of life are to support my 13 year old son, and to find my next ex wife. Thanks to the combined help of Virginia Family Medicine, and this wonderful practice, this benevolent bad boy is one step closer to being at 100%. Thank you to the folks here, as my hats off in respect to Dr Finch and all here. Based on how I feel about them, I have recommended them to my folks. Those of you who know me, know of how protective I am. If that doesn't provide direct evidence of why to go here, I don't know what to do, but it's important to take care of yourself. Physical, mental, and emotional health are connected!

Within seconds after meeting Rohina Ahmed, I was uncomfortable with having her as my care provider…read more I became more uncomfortable as the exam proceeded. By the end of the appointment I made sure I would not deal with her again. Let me explain. I am 78 years old. I felt a lump in my right armpit a couple of months ago. I then phoned the personal physician I had for many years before moving. He asked if the lump was painful. It wasn't. He said I needed to see my current health care provider immediately. For starters, I would need blood work and a diagnostic mammogram. I then called my current health care provider, Arlington Medical Associates, to make an appointment. After explaining the symptoms to the office manager, I was scheduled to see Rohina Ahmed, a Nurse Practitioner. The office manager put a note on my records, "Lump in Armpit." Rohina Ahmed entered the exam room, apologizing for being late. Apparently she hadn't noticed the note on my file. "You're here for a follow-up visit. Right?" "Mm - no I have a lump in my right armpit." Rohina then started to rapidly go through my records, at the same time asking if cancer ran in my family. It did. Of course, it was in my records, but she clearly hadn't read my records until that very moment. I then expected her to ask if I had any symptoms like night sweats, fatigue, etc. She didn't. Instead she began going through my chart and mentioned that maybe I needed a thyroid test. She then noted that I hadn't had a colonoscopy in 10 years. At this point I decided to cut to the chase. I said I had previously spoken with a physician. He said I needed 2 things immediately: blood work and a diagnostic mammogram. Rohina asked me to wait a moment. She went in to consult with a physician in the medical practice. When she returned, she said we could proceed with a Routine Mammogram, and a Thyroid Test. I immediately walked into Dr. Vidwan's office, uninvited, and explained the situation. Dr. Vidwans edited Rohina's proposed directive. The thyroid test was scratched. The "routine mammogram screening" was changed to "a diagnostic mammogram." Dr. Vidwans then ordered my blood to be drawn immediately at the office so it could be sent in that day for testing by a lab. In short, my experience with Rohina Ahmed was that she came late. She hadn't a clue why I had made the appointment. She hadn't done her homework by reviewing my records. And she ordered tests that were not specifically relevant to my condition.
