Review for Pink Poodle - Visit on 10/4/25…read more I went with my best friend and her mom, and when we first walked in my mood immediately improved. The store itself is visually stunning -- I loved the look and atmosphere right away. We browsed through the displays and were especially impressed by the jewelry area. We moved on to the headdresses and wigs, which caught our attention. The wigs looked to be in good condition, though priced higher than we expected. Some of them were placed too high up to reach, and only after we had looked at a few did we notice a small sign taped to one of the mannequin heads saying not to touch them without staff assistance. This wasn't obvious when we first walked by, so it was a little confusing. Later, while checking out some decorative headbands, I tried to take one down to look at it more closely. A staff member came over and asked if I was going to a party. When I explained I just wanted to try it on, she firmly told us not to touch items unless we were planning to buy. My friend joined me, and the staff member continued to tell us we were handling things wrong. It felt awkward because we hadn't noticed any clear signs in that section before, but after she pointed it out we saw similar wording posted elsewhere in the store. Overall, the store itself is very unique and worth seeing, but I don't think it's very teen-friendly. The policies and signage could be more clearly displayed and consistent throughout the store to prevent misunderstandings. If you go, I recommend bringing an older person along, and definitely take a full walk around to read all the posted rules before touching anything.

Tried to use it today and was told they won't take it anymore and that - despite the fact I received it 2 years ago - it "expired" 4 years ago??? So not only did I lose my gift card, that basically means they stole that $60. I should have tried to keep the actual card and gone to BBB but they took it away from me. I told them to their face too - I'll never come back. And I'll let others know what happened. Very bad business practice.

LIVE, LAUGH, LOVE…read more Vintage Bliss is what happens when your Mom's Pinterest had a little too much and barfed up a store full of perfectly curated, vintage inspired, wine themed stuff. Throw pillows with slogans? They got 'em. Furniture refinished with chalkboard paint? Oh yeah. Wall hangings with inspirational sayings about living, laughing AND loving? Say no more, fam. VB is kind of in the middle of nowhere but the Lake Geneva moms seem to have it on the radar, with good reason. You won't find any dusty crap or musty old garbage here - everything is beautifully arranged, perfectly displayed and honestly, pretty reasonably priced. They have helpful and kind staff and even measuring tapes in strategic spots to help you out, so strap on that Michael Kors handbag and get ready to SPEND! Most of this isn't my personal style but I didn't leave without a few heavenly smelling candles and a sassy greeting card. Perfect place to find a nice gift for the lady in your life who needs a "wine o'clock" sign or a "chop it like it's hot" tea towel. NGL, was tempted by that last one.

This place has a great deal of antiques neatly on display and it features a lot of great stuff I was primarily looking for cool outdoor items for display while my wife was looking for cool kitchenware that was nostalgic. There was a variety of antiques packed into one store and I was in heaven. I came to Wisconsin on a girls weekend to get out of the city. My roommate, a Baraboo native, always comes back from home with cool furniture or jewelry that she finds in Baraboo antique stores so I was excited to try and find my own treasures. Our first stop in Baraboo's quite happening antique scene was Oak Street Antiques and Yarn Nook. We met up with my roommate's mom who was checking out as we walked in, but I was immediately distracted by a trunk full of wrapped presents. They were all $2 and labeled with the age range that the item inside would be appropriate for. I stood there for a good 5 minutes talking myself out of purchasing an armload full of them because I love a bargain and a surprise. After I got over my irrational urge to buy all the surprises, I started to look around the store. I really liked the layout and flow of the store. There were items everywhere, but I never felt overwhelmed and there was always room for 2+ people to move about. The front right corner of the store is the "yarn nook" section where you can buy all types of yarn and accessories and in the back left corner, there were a few ladies sitting around a large table and knitting. The back right corner has a room full of clothes, from old fur coats to shoes, to purses. The remainder of the store is full of items from postcards, cast iron, jewelry, books, boy scout uniforms, sleds, furniture, and tons of other unique items. There were quite a few items that piqued my interest but I had to resist as they were not practical purchases. I can't wait for my next trip to Baraboo to check out the new inventory at Oak Street Antiques!
