5 years after my first review of OSADS I find myself driving 20 mins every morning only to bring my…read moresecond child to live a similar preschool experience to what his sister had, this time in Miss Trish and Miss Ashley's classroom. The reason behind making this extra driving effort when he could already be attending the excellent public school that is near our house along with his sister, lays in the social and spiritual foundation that she as a child and I as a parent got to learn during her 3 years of Waldorf education. It was actually her who recommended that her brother should also get to enjoy these unforgettable calm and magical years under the kindest and most stable guidance . Every day when I pick him up and even though the children are usually playing outdoors, his hands are warm, his cheeks are pink, he seems well rested, well nourished, and I am sure that he has been treated only in the nicest possible way.

I can't speak highly enough of our experience with Dylan. He spent three hours a day with our…read moretoddlers aged 3-5 for three days so we saw how he engaged with the kids a lot. The children were fully engaged due to his ability to differentiate, inspire, lead, use the kids ideas, adapt, accommodate them with a wide range of activities, and keep a pace that didn't allow them to lose focus. There was no need for me to step in to mediate or motivate at all, no running to mommy (apart from for water because they were playing so much) and tired bodies that slept super well that night. Dylan was wonderful, not only because of his skill with the kids but also because of the ease of communication (He even text to ask if on the last day he could bring them a small treat)-and all from the comfort of home. A great business to use!

Had I been in the right frame of mind growing up, my experience could have been better. I went there for 8 summers and I thoroughly enjoyed the educational parts such as the Farm, the Outdoor Living part, the counselors many of which from around the world. It taught me a lot about where our food comes from and a nice tradition of 4-H. However, that tradition seemed distant to the national movement of 4-H. And the worst behaved kids had family connections to the camp and were never disciplined properly. It affected me tremendously. Also, in hindsight, the administrators dressed like Native Americans during the council fire. I find that to be disrespectful. I had a tough time socially but I did like the activities. Stop with the nepotism and either discipline your kids or don't allow troublemakers to go.
