Sean and Shannon worked non-stop and were very professional, polite, and the worksite was cleared and clean daily. I contracted Michael Freeman and Logan Elliot to work on my home for plumbing, electrical and mud…read morework. The initial timeline was 3 weeks as it was a small job. Michael lied about the progress being made on my home and the work he had been completing while I was away working in Michigan. After I came home from 3 weeks. I saw the work they had done and what they had not done. I gave them a 2 week extension to get the work done as I had already paid in full. week 1 of the extension, Michael and Logan showed up to work 6 hours the entire week. I told Michael at the end of week 2, tools will need to be put down, any work unfinished I wanted to be reimbursed for and then they needed to pack up and get out. Michael agreed and said okay. After 5 weeks opening my home to these guys, They destroyed my flooring in my living room, my coffee table, my entertainment center, left garbage everywhere in my home, left inappropriate drawings in my walls, left rotting chicken in my fridge, washed their tools in my kitchen sink. Left a dumpster in my yard [still here 3 weeks later] - and the best part is, they lied about the plumbing rework, and this flooded my entire living room ceiling which I then had to tear out myself due to the water damage. Initially I told Michael and Logan, I wanted to be fair, they did some electrical and mudding work, 30% of all work had been completed at this time, but had been paid in full [at the end of 5 weeks], I told them I would let them keep half the money, but that they needed to pay me back for what work was not completed. [70% of work had not been completed] Michael agreed to this when he came to pick up his tools but asked for a two week extension to get me my money back, I said okay, today is the end of two weeks, I asked him where my money is and he told me he will see me in court and that he will counter sue me if I say anything poor about his company for slander. [texts for proof if anyone wants to reach out to me] Michael and Logan did not show up to work on time 1 day, [9 am] Michael does not have his own vehicle to get to work, [despite being a co-owner of this business] is extremely dishonest, and is now being pursued by me for theft, property damage and fraud. This was my experience with the company. For anyone considering this company, I hope this message is helpful in your considerations. These guys damaged my property my home and stole my money. If you need a reference for their work, please feel free to contact me at 4253082883, I have very thorough documentation from this experience with master finishes and renovations from Mansfield Ohio.

I can honestly say that Thompson Home Improvement isn't just another roofing company--it's run by…read moresomeone who truly cares about people, and I've had the privilege to experience that firsthand. The owner has been more than a boss or a coworker to me--he's been a mentor. He's taken the time to teach me the skills I need not only to be successful in roofing but to become independent and start building something of my own. I've worked for other roofing companies in the past, and none of them offered the opportunity for growth the way he has. Most places want you to stay in your lane and help them grow their business. But he's helped me grow mine--he's even helped get my painting business off the ground, connected me with jobs, and given me guidance when he didn't have to. That means the world to me. He let me get into sales when I had no experience at all, just to help me build confidence and learn how to connect with customers. That kind of trust is rare. He's shown me what it means to be professional, sincere, and fair in every part of the job. Every customer he works with walks away happy, and he consistently goes above and beyond--even doing free things he doesn't have to do just to make sure people are taken care of. He understands that people have bills, families, and real-life financial limits--so he offers financing, fair pricing, and flexible solutions instead of trying to drain someone's bank account. That kind of integrity is hard to find. If you're in or around Ashland County and need a roofing contractor--or just someone you can trust with your home--Thompson Home Improvement is hands down the best choice. This man genuinely cares about his customers, his crew, and his community. I'm proud to have learned from him and even prouder to recommend his business.
