But over time, new technicians came in, and the results became hit or miss. I shrugged it off, figuring that since I never had a go-to person, I just had to roll with it. Well, I deeply regret rolling into that first chair on a Wednesday. The technician--who I'm assuming is named Michaela, based on my receipt--immediately pointed out random grey hairs on my face. Uh, thanks? I told her never mind (and THANK GOODNESS I did, but we'll get to that). She finishes my brows, hands me the mirror, and I take a quick glance. And my first thought? 'Oh great, you just mowed off all my eyebrows like we're back in the '90s.' Still, I chalk it up to my fault for not specifying that I just needed a cleanup. Usually, they ask--she didn't--but given the inconsistency here, I figured I'd just have better luck next time. So, I take my L, pay, and leave. But then I get to my car. I take a closer look and--what in the actual--my brows are not only pencil-thin, but I have visible blood and cuts (see photo). W.T.F.?! She didn't say a single word about this! I have dry skin, but I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for over 20 years, and this has NEVER happened. And to make matters worse, I have a big presentation at work tomorrow, so now, instead of just filling in these razor-thin brows (which is extra fun when you naturally have thick ones), I also have to figure out how to cover up these cuts and avoid a scab situation. What was she even doing that low on my eyebrow?! At this point, the inconsistency is just too much. While some of the techs know what they're doing, beware--you might just walk out of here looking like Edward Scissorhands had a field day with your brows.

Second, I found it very uncomfortable and inappropriate that your response mentioned having photos and videos of me during my appointment. I never gave consent for my experience to be used in a way that feels threatening or to imply that my personal review is invalid because I was polite during my visit. Although I remained polite during the appointment, I did express concern and even told the stylist that my hair was cut too short. Being respectful in the moment does not mean I was happy with the final result. After getting home and properly seeing and styling my hair, I was even more disappointed. Also, when I called regarding pricing for a haircut, it was never clearly explained that a wash and blowout would be separate charges. Communication and transparency about what is and is not included are important, and unfortunately that was not made clear to me.
