This family owned bar (both the son and father work here together) is great for relaxed nights out with friends, happy hour with colleagues or the "previa" before going to Subterranneo. My favorite drink is has to be their Daquiris. They are made with real fruit juice, rum and sugar. You can also ask for it to be made without sugar. Tip: The hostess should offer you empanadas on the house and sometimes free pisco sours...if they don't say anything, ask and you shall receive! You can also rent their upstairs/the whole bar for birthday parties or private events. People even rent it out for discos! Just talk to the administrator and he will help you coordinate.

We came for breakfast and had an overall great experience with friendly service and good food! La Resistencia offers a little bit of everything, but by far my favorite is their breakfast menu. They have a kickass egg menu that is served with hollandaise sauce *mouth watering-ly good* and toast. You can choose between vegetarian options like the fried onions and tomatoes (English breakfast style) or spinach and cheese to the meat eater bacon, ham or even meatballs! The best part is that their eggs are free-range and hormone-free! Besides their great egg breakfast, they have a good selection of teas as well as quality coffee - a perfect pairing to your breakfast. Although I haven't tried it, I saw they have what look to be delicious hamburgers and sandwiches plus a unique daily soup option. The sandwiches and hamburgers that were being served around us looked very tasty so I will definitely be coming back to take my partner here and confirm if the looks stack up to the taste. Since La Resistencia is located in the popular and very chic Drugstore gallery, we finished our breakfast and decided to "walk it off" by exploring the unique shops with local artesian designs and products.

The owner, Francisco, who is almost always there to make sure his guests are happy, is a Chilean entrepreneur with a loud and fun personality that will make you want to stay just to talk with him. He also is married to a lovely woman from Mexico who definitely influences his meals (in a good way). The flavor in every dish at 20000 Leguas is beyond most. They have amazing happy hours and a great selection of both national and international wines and beers. I was recommended a German beer that was unfortunately too sweet for my liking (kind of like a Lemon Stone) and they changed it for me without a problem. The cool thing about 20,000 Leguas is that the owner also has a small seafood brand that is sold in Jumbo, so he takes the best seafood of the day and serves it in 20,000 Leguas - including ceviche, shrimp and fish! They offer breakfast lunch and dinner and despite their large menu, they really do cook most things well! They also serve a lot of international products such as pastries and bagels! They always have daily specials and you can find out about them beforehand on their FB page or call them directly and reserve a table - Francisco really does anything to make his clients happy! Tip: They always have deals going on so check out their FB and take advantage of them - flash 30% discount on drinks and dinner! They are planning on doing delivery so give him a call if you need your lunch delivered in the area!
