Called into the preston fishergate branch on Friday 19/09/14 and asked to close my account. Assistant computer was down so took my details and said the account would be closed and money transferred overnight by fast transfer.
Didn't happen, calls to customer services (approx 30 mins) couldnt help and was given local telephone no (01772 405509). This line is disconnected, so only way to resolve this problem created by barclays staff is to make a return trip to the bank, and ask them to do the task all over again. read more
