Everything I tasted was delicious!! And I found it affordable. $8.50 per taco, at least 4-5…read moreproteins to choose from - some spicy and some not. It's not a huge menu, but enough to satisfy the hunger. It's like tapas / small plates. The waiter explained that you order dishes individually, and there's no discount for an order of (let's say), 3. And we wanted to try a variety anyway, so it was win-win. It's not a huge place, but not too small, either. It's cozy. As you walk in, the full bar is on the right. Several tables around the rest of the space. At least 3 wait staff and a greeter. They even offer Jarritos! We were here for our 40th wedding anniversary. Everybody started with adult libations, and we ordered chips and guac to start. Then the real deal: chicken tacos, vegetarian, fish tacos, and shrimp tacos. One of us ordered pulled pork. They bring them out of the kitchen one at a time, so that none get cold... and they all get devoured! Ok, I admit I was hungry!! I look forward to going back!!

Best Mexican restaurant I've been to in a while. The…read moreservice was great and don't forgot to leave with one of their bottles of in house habenero oil. They don't take reservations but you can get on their online waitlist. All their food was amazing. We got the tuna tostada, chorizo and octopus tostada, elote, one of each type of taco, and the tres leches. We also got the mezcalita sour, which was the best sour we've had in a while. Unfortunately the tres leches was pretty bad. It was so dry and topped with way too much whipped cream to make up for it. But you really can't go wrong with any main course dish. My favorites were both the tostadas and the shrimp taco. The shrimp is cooked so well and every single bite is tender.

Came here for dinner on Sunday. The place wasn't busy at all...in fact the waiter said that they…read moreclosed on Sundays for the summer, as it's too difficult to compete with the Kingston downtown restaurants, patios, and waterfront. We ordered the taco platter, which consisted of 8 tacos and 3 sides. The tacos they have are chicken, beef, pulled pork, jack fruit, shrimp, and cod. It's worth noting that you're not allowed to order just one kind of taco for this platter, you need to order in two's (a small inconvenience). The sides we chose were chips & salsa, rice, and the lime salt papa fritas (fries). The meal was pretty good! Each taco has it's own unique ingredients and flavours going on, so it was fun trying all the different kinds. My favourite was the cod, as I thought the pineapple and salsa verde were a nice touch. I also liked the chicken taco, but it was too spicy in my opinion. It's nice to have your tacos made with flavour, but not too much "heat". They actually have an entire shelf of hot sauces on the far wall of the restaurant so that you can go grab a sauce to use if you want your taco to be spicy. Of course I understand that Mexican cuisine has more "bite" to it, but again, in my opinion it was just a bit too spicy to enjoy. I'll also say that the food did not come out warm...perhaps it wasn't supposed to...not sure. The fries were amazing, but the rice was cold and lacking flavour. Chips were fine, but they could certainly be more generous on the salsa. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner, and we would certainly return.

It's a big open restaurant. It was a nice day outside and they have outside seating. But there…read morewere bugs flying around so we chose to stay indoors. Who knew they would leave the doors to the outside open and let all flying bugs in. They were annoying to swat away from the food every few seconds. Food was tasty in the end. But: The house corn chips and "dip" - dip is too small to share with 3 people. The Poblano Rajas barely had poblano peppers. The Quesadilla Stack has way too much lime crema. Perhaps a little squeeze??? Not covered entirely with crema. Every dish is gussied up. There should be something a little more "plain". Not every dish needs to be overloaded. We tried to order the Chicken Taquitos and remove an item but were told they're pre-made and can't be customized. Their favourite spice is cumin. Way too much in every dish. It's the only flavour in the red rice. What State in Mexico are they trying to represent as I e eaten at Mexican restaurants and never had so much cumin. Finally, the number of messages and text messages to "remind me" of my reservation was simply annoying. 2 messages at a time! And then, I got a call at 5:45 pm (for my 6pm reservation) asking where I am as I am late for my 5:30pm reservation??? All the reminders said 6 and 6 was my selected time. How did they get it wrong?

The place is a little hard to find off the street, but it's worth the search! The menu looks to be quite tasty and if I'd had more time in Kingston I'd come back to sample more! Melisa took great care of us and our tacos arrived fresh and hot. I had the chorizo taco and the fish one too. Both were very delicious and completely fresh! We also shared some chips and their salsa. The chips they make fresh there every day. The salsa was so sublime! I could've eaten that all day! Washing all that down with ice cold local beer was definitely the way to go, but I have to say, I regret not trying one of their specialty cocktails. All said, it was a great experience and if you're in the area this is a place to stop and taste! Thanks to Melisa and the team for a great experience!

The decor is dark, mood lit, very nice location. This restaurant is known for its margaritas. The bar was energized. The food was quite good. I ordered the portobello taco, and the cucumber salad. Both incredibly delicious! Everyone at our table enjoyed the food, and the experience! The waitress was friendly and answered our questions with a smile. The food came as it was ready, so it felt staggered, but we were already busy eating, so it works, we all enjoyed it! Do I recommend this place, absolutely. We had reservations, and I would encourage you to do the same.
