Barb's Harley Davidson is more of a clothing store then anything esle. Yes they sell bikes, and parts. But the big seller clothing. I've been too bigger Harley stores. But still happy with what they have. They are not part of the HOG membership. Definitely a bummer. read more

She is a terrible sales person, I was ready to buy, but I will never speak to her again. I was asking her to explain why open spoke wheels are not as good as a solid wheels, and again, I'm the idiot for asking ...I'll tell you this, she doesn't know how to explain much of anything, let alone airflow through a spoked wheel. This review is solely based on dealing with the parts department. They generally can give me the answers I need, part numbers I'm looking for or the quotes I'm looking for. I like when I ask for a quote they print it out for me. The one downside is generally there is only one person manning the desk so sometimes it can take 5 or more minutes to be seen. One of the parts department employees I try to avoid because e generally does not understand what I am asking or takes entirely too long to look up parts. As far as the sales department goes for bikes I have only dealt with them once a few years ago and the gentleman was very off putting. I came back from my deployment to Afghanistan and wanted to purchase a street glide. He did not seem very interested in dealing with me and did not try to work with me on the price at all. He offered no military discount, which generally comes standard from Harley on bikes and told me all he could do was makes the payments small in case that was an issue. Needless to say he insulted me and I walked at Barbs. They say no one walks but that is not the case. I purchased my Street Glide elsewhere. I probably will never purchase another bike from Barbs due to the experience I had. read more

I stopped him and asked if he read my letter? He said yes and that e-commerce is a small part of his business,Apparently I still don't matter. No worries I always have AMAZON LOL My name is Michael and recently I purchases an Auxiliary Light Switch Kit item # 68000341 for my motorcycle on line as I called your dealership first and you didn't have it in stock. It was installed in December. Recently after a ride I saw that the rubber boot that covers the upper switch was gone. I called HD and they told me I had to file a warranty claim through the dealership. So Tuesday, Feb 21 at approximately 3PM I arrived and your location in Collingswood and I went to the parts counter to file my claim as instructed. The woman at the counter started to listen to my story and once I said that it was ordered on line she asked if Barbs was the store of record, I stated that I didn't believe so. At that point I was told that I would have to speak to Jess who handles on line orders, but she was gone for the day so I would need to comeback. Frustrated I said to the woman at the parts counter that I was disappointed that I would have to be unconvinced more than I already had been. To which the response was well you can call in the morning. What has me disturbed is the following: Since I have to go to a dealership to file a claim what does it matter who the store of record is? Why can only the "Online" POC submit my warranty? Isn't Barbs an Authorized Dealer? And if so, why would you make a customer who is already disappointed have to do be inconvenienced even more? The rubber boot probably has a value of less than $1.00 in real life but the only way to get a new one is by replacing the next higher assembly via the harness switch pack P/N 69202584 which I can't find when searching for it online. read more

I'm not sure why this place gets such bad reviews. I live right down the street from there and made the mistake of going to the Harley superstore over the bridge. (Now that place I'd give one star). Nothing but insult offers and rust buckets. I left there thinking I could never afford a big engine HD. The very next morning I checked Barbs website inventory and found an ad for an 02 FXD well within my budget. I called Barbs they said come take it for a ride. Turns out this bike was perfect for me AND they offered me top dollar for my Honda 750 shadow as a trade-in. I've gone in there many times since then and the staff has always been very polite and super helpful. I probably put a few thousand dollars worth of parts to personalize my bike and give it the look I wanted. Unfortunately I no longer ride and my bike is for sale. But I felt the need to share my experiences with this great dealership. read more

I've dealt with every department at Barb's HD, with the exception of service. After letting my MC endorsement lapse and not riding for 37 years, I turned to Barb's HD Riding Academy. It was the best choice I could have made. Anthony was a great instructor and taught me things I didn't remember and helped break some bad habits. While taking the course I was in the process of fixing and changing the looks of an 04 Road king. Val and Rich at parts were helpful in sourcing parts no longer available from HD and when they couldn't, they made suggestions where I may find parts that I couldn't even find on ebay. They listened to what I wanted and even saved me money by telling me what I didn't need, even though they could have sold it to me. With their help, my 04 RK is running almost like now. The riding gear/clothing department has also been very helpful. They listen to what I want and make suggestions based on that and offer their own experience with products. They helped me find a helmet that met my needs and were very patient with my indecisiveness and multiple visits to the department over a few weeks. The GM, Bill, was great to talk to. He loves old bikes and offered some ideas to get rid of one stubborn code my bike keeps throwing. His suggestions helped, but I still have other things to try that he suggested. Since my 04 RK is on a lift being worked on, as much as ridden, I decided I needed a reliable bike and joked with Val I needed a new HD. She introduced me to Pat, in sales, and we came to a great deal on a 23 Road Glide. Mike, the finance manager, made the process simple and easy. There was no hard sell on warranty plans, like at car dealerships. He listened to what I wanted and found what worked for me. My wife and I met Barb, while walking around the dealership waiting on Pat to finish with another customer and she was very nice and a joy to talk with. Barb's HD has made me feel like more than a customer; they make me feel like I'm part of the family. If the service department is as good as the rest of the dealership, I'll be thrilled and I'm pretty sure I will have the chance to find out after I get the Wireless Interface Module installed and need them to program it. read more

I don't like financing and I had money coming in from a another sale I made but it won't clear for a couple weeks. So I figured I'd offer to give them (Barbs) $5,000.00 CASH to hold onto the bike for a couple weeks instead of $500 and they refused. You can take E CLASS LATER IF YOU GET MY Drift. I'm saying this because that's what the instructor to the other 2 Harley guys siting next to me. Yeah he broke rules for them of course. Im sure it's because they said they were planing to buy Harleys as soon as they passed the class. Oh One very important thing to note tho! Don't be late to by 10 mins to class A specially if you don't look the part you know right "like a Harley guy!! " Oh and don't bother following the rules like instructor said to do. like text him if u had and issue because he's going to claim he didn't get text any way. Such a foul bunch of employees working there oh the manger will reschedule you a class for next year lol if you want too wait that long, it's a scam such a money grab from barbs it's very disheartening. Also the driving class take place in the back of the building right off the street Im sure someone ether has or will get in to a real bad accident there soon. The instructor had it in for me from the very beginning when I told him the reason why I wanted my motor bike license was to be able to get in and out of the city fast after work. Coming from a 10+ year Harley Owner: My review is strictly aimed at the Rental Department. They've been telling me for 2 months, "April 1st is when we start renting bikes". It's April 1st & they're pushing back rentals because of DEMO DAYS. Way to service your customers BARB's!!! ALSO, they are charging $200+ a day for Cruisers/Baggers, compared to $150 a day from HD of Ocean County. (this includes ALL 3 insurances offered) Barbs is great for buying a bike, or motor clothes, & accessories. Sorry rental department......1 star. Lower rental prices & keep your promises. I bought an ultraclassic tri glide from this place and will NEVER go back. The service department is the worst to deal with. Had my bike there several times and they never could fix the problem. So much for master mechanics. After discussing the situation with Barb several times I finally wrote her a letter explaining what was going on with my bike and she never responded to it. As I frequent different Harley dealers and tell them of my experiences at Barb's, they all say "you are not the first to have negative experiences with them. We hear that all the time." This location hosted the 2016 911 ride - 1,600 bikes, most with two riders, converged on this shop in August and were treated to some fabulous hospitality from some locally organized vendors. I just purchased a new Electric Glide from Barbs and it was a horrible experience. From sales to service, no one seems to know what they are doing. The various departments don't communicate with each other or with the customer. The service department, in particular, leaves much to be desired. They tend to misquote estimates by hundreds of dollars and then don't inform the customer until the bike is ready for pick up. This dealership does much more for local riders than motorcycle sales and service. They have a good selection of parts and motor clothing. The staff is always friendly. If you want a try a new model Harley they will take you out for a demo ride. They go the extra mile with free lunches and cookouts several times a year.their pig roast are the best.They also raise money for good causes when someone needs help. They also have great rides and trips to concerts in the area and Barb supports military veterans.An added bonus is bike shows in the parking lot with very generous give aways. I'm not a complainer- hate to write bad reviews-Have been riding many years, have bought many bikes, many Harley's, in several states... Trust me- run, don't walk away..from Barb's. Barb is very nice- but needs a new team. After I saw my inflated bill- She did tell me to call Ed, the manager and they would fix- I called after Ed never called me- but hadn't called back. No worries- And That's Ok - I can afford to have $200 plus unfairly taken- but in GP- need to voice it. ED & Ed in service are not serving your best interest- many reviews on Yelp - but kind of hidden in not recommended , but seem valid and similar to my experience. Don't make a quick decision. My issue- Ed Charged me extra 2 1/2 hours labor and parts to flush brakes and coolant (must still be laughing) even though service was covered which was pre paid-to ensure brakes and coolant working- even though my service - to ensure the bike is safe and covered Under the $1600 service advantage I bought, a plan they should honor, or shift it to the 7 year warranty plan ($50 deductible) that should protect me from faulty brakes or engine issues. But sidestepped it by saying 12,500 service does not cover those specific items. I'm busy with the holidays- but will advance the $200 overcharge when I have time , and NEVER do business with Barbs Harley. Harley corporate will listen, or the many people at a bike show while they are trying to sell bikes to thousands may show concern. By the way- the Finance guy who acts as MOD- was a riot. Allegedly Had not heard of the 5 accidents caused by ABS locking up due to water in brake fluid- or the many recalls my 14 Ultra has had. Counseled me on people riding differently- Really appreciate his feedback. Wonder why Harley market share is eroding to Indian? Good luck , and enjoy the ride. read more

I'm not comfortable with a business that would not give prices over the phone. If this was reputable dealer they should stand behind their prices as other HD dealers do. I can only speak for my experience with parts as that is the only department I dealt with. Anthony took my order over the phone for a battery. He was very cordial and knowledgeable. He had to order the battery and said he would call me within a week when it came in. He did, it was the right one and he discarded the old one for me. I know it sounds trivial and anybody should be able to take an order for a battery but sadly that has not been my experience. Good job Anthony! read more

Stay away from their service dept. Got a great price on the bike when I bought it but thats it. Had it towed in several weeks ago. They did a repair in the front fairing of my 09 Streetglide. I pick up the bike and they never plugged in one of the bulbs for the air temp guage. I brought it back several weeks later. They had the bike for an hour and a half. They say its all done. I start riding home and notice they broke the windshield. The technician butchered the reinstall I went back the next day. No one showed any concern. No one said "Mr McCormick, we are so sorry. We will make sure everything is taken care of." You know, common customer service. None of that. Technician brings the bike out after 20 minutes, I inspect it and he crushed the trim in the windshield. I walk back in and tell them to bring it back in and fix it. Technician brings it back in, and fixes it. He brings it out and no apology just a "Is that it sir?" Like I am inconviencing him for his mistakes. This is only after they still havent fixed one of the initial concerns of very poor radio respection which they say my radio is "normal: But everyone elses radios area nice and clear. I have heard many horror stories about their service. I will not step foot in there again. i will take my business to either Brians or Hannums and I recoomend you do not use their service dept. I have spent over a $1000 in th epast 2 months on clothes and accessories. Barbs just lost my money. read more

I usually visit Barb's for some routine service items that I do myself. Never a problem. In and out quickly. I only come here because it's close to home. Now just for reference I did not buy my ride here although it was an option 4 years ago. After looking at some bikes I asked the salesman for a price with some options I picked out. He told me " I can't give you our best price unless you commit to buying from us". Say, what? How can I commit to buy without knowing what the price is? Really? So I moved on to another dealer 70 miles from my house who gladly gave me some numbers without a commitment to buy! In conclusion my review stars apply to the Parts Department only. read more

I live in Bristol Twsp. Went to that Harley Dealer in Langhorne, Walked around the showroom for half an hour, poking around, sitting on everything there. Not one person approached me. One guy upstairs was talking on the phone with his feet up on the desk. I stood and stared at him. No response. Went down stairs and left. Drove 45 minutes to Barb's in New Jersey, walked in the door and was treated like a King. Salesman showed me everything there was. I took a sweet Softtail deluxe out for a road test and bought it on the spot. Been back several times for scheduled maintenance, always treated well. "Can I get you anything? Coffee, cold drink"? Even Barb took the time on several occasions to stop and chat with me. Service Department needs a little tweeking, but I will chalk it up to an inexperienced tech and remain a loyal customer. read more
