I been coming here for the past 5 years. very good barbers. prices very high thou. they raise there prices by 2 dollars every year and since they reopened after covid, now they charge $25 for a haircut which is very high for a local barbershop in flushing. not a good business move, this will have parents doing there kids haircuts and people going to other barbers who didn't raise there prices. I would still go here but not every 3 weeks like I used to. I hope they realize that raising prices so often and especially at $25 is a very bad business move. for $25 it should be a full service with beard included even though that is pretty high. read more

I told the guy to cut my hair slightly shorter and he nodded so I thought he understood. After the cut, I found out he did not understand. The back of my head is done for, my sides are uneven, and my bangs are basically gone. I had long wavy ish hair before and now it's completely gone. I have a Edgar cut now. Awesome place! Everyone is super friendly, walk-ins are welcome, and Donald did an amazing job trimming my long hair and preserving my layers without losing very much length. He made sure to show me exactly what and how he was going to cut, and checked with me to make sure that I was okay with it before he trimmed it. Amazing experience! Update: Still love this place! I finally had enough hair to donate (12 inches)... So I asked Donald to cut it off and give me a short haircut. Great barbershop for a quick cut as a Queens College student, but Misha is not a nice guy. He will pick up calls and completely ignore you for it without even excusing himself. He does the same when talking to other barbers. He does not try to build good connections with the customer. He is also quite careless and rough in his technique and truly doesn't care about what you want. I've only come back for one of the female barbers who I believe doesn't even work here anymore and I cannot remember her name. She's the only reason I'm giving this barbershop a 3. With Misha, I'm never satisfied, but with her, I was always satisfied. I came on a Thursday evening at 6:30 and they denied me service, saying they were closed. But I've come in at this time several times, and it says they close at 8. I know Misha likes to leave early (he kept complaining to me one time because I came in at 6), so it's clear that he'd rather shoo away a customer than build good relations. I've been going to barber king since they opened up and I don't trust anyone else with my hair. I even went to the same barber before they moved to the new shop. I usually go to Borukh, but both Ray and Misha have cut my hair before. All of them are very highly skilled in their craft and very friendly. The shop is new so all of their tools and facilities are top notch and clean. Very comfortable environment and most importantly great haircuts! There is a subway next door if your hungry as well as abundant on street parking. I usually park right outside the shop and I can see my car just in case. Best thing to do is to call in advance so that they have a heads up that your coming so that they don't make you wait long. I've seen them do all sorts of haircuts, ranging from tape ups to flat tops, designs, kids hair, and scissor cuts. They even do women's hair! I first got my hair cut by Ray who was extremely warm and welcoming and made me want to come back for a haircut as soon as possible. I've since been getting my hair cut by Donald, who gives me a fantastic haircut every time and brings the same skill and professionalism as Ray. Good experience: Was in the market for a new barber, so tried this place out. The cut came out nice, though he literally finished within like 10 minutes. I wasn't amazed, but wasn't disappointed either. The guys who work there are really friendly, and very attentive. Bad experience: I was told over the phone that it's $12 to get a cut, which is what I normally pay at other places (no beard trimming, just a regular cut). When I got there, I asked the guy about the Yelp $10 for $15 deal, and he told me not to get it, they will take care of me. They also mentioned about a student/faculty discount, I just had to show my ID. So, I didn't buy the Yelp deal, and showed my school ID, and the following happened: The guy told me, "it's normally $16 but I am giving you a deal for $12", which wasn't really a deal since they normally charge $12? Mind you, the Yelp deal was for $10. I would have been okay with $16; if that's their price, then that's their price. I just did not like the trick they pulled. Although the shop is new, their skill is not. They have been cutting hair for 10+ years at Yuris. Thankfully, I've been told they opened up their own shop here right next to Queens College. I've been going to Ray for years now and he definitely earned my loyalty. Ray & Misha are extremely talented, you will not be disappointed.
