They welcomed her in and made her feel comfortable in a place primarily offering men's cuts. Two thumbs up for welcoming a ten year old girl with an out of the norm hairdo for a cut!

No stars if I could! This woman, who goes by Cindy, is so bad as a barber it is beyond belief…read more She literally slaughtered my hair. When I very politely pointed it out to her, she said all her clients know "what number to ask for, and most of them ask for number two". Well, sorry, you are concerned with number one or two when you go to a toilet. As far as I am concerned, I am not a professional barber, so I do not have to know what these "numbers" mean. And it is YOU, the barber, who should explain this to me BEFOREHAND, and not afterwards, like "Cindy", who stupidly laughing told me "It's too late now". She is the very first Korean I met in my life whose professional ethics is SO low! Well, it's never too late to warn the potential clients how silly and unprofessional that woman is. I do not care if someone sees her as "meticulous". She is meticulously unprofessional and bad as a hairdresser. Avoid her at any cost. I only went to Duke's because I was running errands in the area. I usually go to Lendrum Barber Shop, whose owner never asks about stupid numbers, he just talks plainly and every few minutes stops to ask if he's doing a correct, acceptable job.

Good quality, quick haircut at a great price…read more He's gone up to $16, but you can't blame him for that because he has to recoup some losses from being forced to close by the province early on in the pandemic last year along with all the other barber shops. Also the building he's located in also flooded recently and he had to close down then as well until the landlord cleaned it up. But at least then he was remaining open at a nearby female hair salon. Really the only negative is he doesn't accept credit cards, cash or debit only, but this is in large part why he can keep his prices so cheap. Otherwise he'd be over $20 like most other barber shops. Personally I give him a $20 and let him keep the change as a tip, because he deserves it and could use it too.

The back of his neck was buzzed and you could see from 1/2 a block away that one end was higher than another. I showed Farah that she not only was it off but it wasn't as thinned out. Sure she said & re-cut. My son comes back & I don't know how she did it, but now the slant is even more pronounced. Either Farah doesn't believe me or pissed that for some reason I'm not happy with the redo. The receptionist gives me a ruler, I discreetly show Farah, & she says she sees it. I'm trying not to call her out or throw any hysteria bc the girl's got her reputation & pride too. So the 2nd redo is now a hack job. The good side is almost sheared right off now, the slant is still there, and the opposite side is still lower & thick. At this point, I'm done. The receptionist said that she too can see the slant & the fixes looked bad. We walked down to grab my son some food & as I'm looking at him directly across the table.. I see that his sideburns are 2 different lengths!! Sheesh, can this haircut get any worse. I don't know about you but I will drive to & pay good money for quality product or service. My trendy teenager son says he doesn't want to meet his friends this afternoon until his hair is fixed! I can't cut hair or own a clipper. Now I'm going to spend $$ elsewhere if I can get in!!
