Not really caring about my hair and knowing bad haircuts grow out, I tipped him and left. Besides, I always wear a hat in public. Two weeks later it was still a bad haircut. The sideburns were lopsided, hair on the left side of my head was shorter than the right and there was a clump missing from the top. Yesterday I went back. All but one barber was busy. I turned to the idle barber to say I wasn't happy with my haircut. I wanted to give Barber Ring a chance to fix it for free, or I would start going elsewhere. Then I took of my hat. His name was Sebastian. He seated me and went above and beyond. He did such a good job, I offered to at least tip him but he refused, "Catch me next time" he said. Bottom line, don't "walk in" to Barber Ring without making an appointment with Sebastian.

To be extra safe, I went with Brian Prime Time, a Master Barber. I was not disappointed! In fact, Brian did an incredible job! I was so happy with my new look that I asked him to replicate it on my second visit and amazingly he did an even better job the second time. This guy is good, really good! I also found it noticeable that Brian has a very "gentle touch"...no yanking of your hair that's for sure. In terms of the overall experience, everyone was nice enough. The place is not super fancy but there is a nice leather couch in the waiting area. Music is good (rap) and the atmosphere is in line with the Dundas West vibe. I could see why they got accolades for being one of the best barbershops in Toronto and I highly recommend them.

Metered parking on street or side street parking in the residential area. Staff: I have really only dealt with Skip. But from what I hear while waiting, the atmosphere is rather casual. Shop: Average clean. One of my co-workers told me about Clean Cut and suggested that I see Skip. Skip is the master Barber and I believe the owner. I have had about half a dozen cuts from skip and I have been please every time. I like my hair short on sides and medium on top. Skip gives an amazing fade. You have to make an appointment to see skip. His calendar is just about always full. Other barber do take walk ins. I had a cut once with a different barber. It was okay, but he was no skip :-). You can book an appointment on their site and you will get reminder a day before as well. My advice is too book ahead of time. I already have appointments booked for the rest of 2019.
