Showed the barber a picture of what I wanted and told him that I wanted "layers." I showed him that I wanted it short in the front and progressively longer until it blended in to the back. Not only did he not give me any layers whatsoever, but he just gave me a generic comb back style. I tried to style it to make it look like the photo I wanted to resemble but to no avail. The photos I showed both had men with hairstyles that were about 2-4 inches on the top and short on the sides. I got the short sides but the top is a mess now. I've come to this barber shop for the past couple of years when I needed to. When I've asked for a "Michael Corleone" cut, they know exactly what I want. I just think that it's redundant to ask for anything other than a fade, taper, or slick back haircut at this point. It's not the first time I've come out of this shop with a hairstyle that wasn't what I wanted. There's also a language barrier since my Spanish is broken and my barber didn't speak English that well. That's nobody's fault but I think if I could communicate better, or had some help from any of the other barbers, I would've had a better experience. If you like tapers and fades or like to lineup your beard, I'd definitely recommend this place. That type of work seems like their speciality, it's just not for me.
