I booked an appointment for my 2 year old, this would've been his first haircut. The time was changed without me even being asked but i didn't complain because it's a Saturday and I'm off anyway. I went By the shop on a weekday to introduce myself to Jon and to my little boy so he would know what to expect. I wake up Saturday morning to a canceled appt with no explanation whatsoever. While Nick's is a clean and nice looking barber shop, the barber Jay always cancels appointments last minute. We have had about 10 canceled appointments. Sometimes Jay would cancel us when we were on the drive over to Nick's! We ended up leaving the barber shop because Jay was just too irresponsible, and it was so frustrating to deal with. read more

Every time i drop my son off to get haircut Jay is always running very late a good 20- 30 minutes. What's the point of an appointment if he is always fitting people in. Great cut, service and atmosphere. I just moved out to Lynbrook and after trying out some of the other shops, I'm glad a found this place. What you get in the other barber shops -- dirty floors & walls, profane music (if there's even music at all), waiting chairs (some are folding chairs that are really uncomfortable), barbers that don't really care. What you get at this barber shop - clean floors, newly renovated space, sensible surround sound music choices, choice of a sofa, love seat or 1 of 2 arm chairs that are more comfortable than the couch I have in my new home and of course, great barbers. I tried Jonathan and he was a true professional. I've gotten so many compliments on my cut since Thursday. I've finally found my spot.
