If I didn't read about the cafe there would be no way I would know it existed. There are maybe 5 or so tables and at 3:30pm was empty. They do not carry alternate milks so I ordered a coffee and a slice of whatever their most popular item is. The person helping me would have none of that and had me follow her to the display case where she immediately started pulling out ENTIRE CAKES (they're massive) to show them to me over the counter (vs. just pointing). I didn't want her to put so much effort into showing me everything in the display - it looked like she was ready to do so - that I pointed at two and asked for a slice of each. I asked what one was, thought it was honey, but the name was Mohr. The person helping me knew it wasn't honey but didn't know what it was right away and ran to a list she had. I looked it ip on my phone and saw it was "poppy", which is delicious. But the fact that she was intent on trying to find the answer was really nice. A guy walked into the cafe and said "hallo". I found that odd as I didn't think people greeted each other when going into a restaurant. I greeted him back. A bit later a couple walked in and said "hallo" to me and the guy. We both greeted them back. I'm not certain if this is normal for smaller cafes, the fact that I chose the table closest to the cafe door, and they're surprised to see me when they open the door, or just the vibe of this particular cafe. At any rate I'm sold. Super nice people, tasty cakes and coffee, and friendly fellow customers. It's not really big enough to be a hang out but I may make it my personal one anyway!
