Only after the bond…read morewas posted, and I was released and immediately reported to their downtown San Diego office that was I informed that THEY, not the Court, was requiring me to wear a GPS unit ($550 for initial install, $275/month), which was NOT required by the Court. Then they overcharged me at least $3,000. Then, they went "out of business" which caused the automatic revocation of the bond, and my arrest by the Fugitive Task Force. Spent 8 days in jail, and was exposed to COVID 19. This isn't over.

I had been searching with DNA matches to cousins on various ancestry sites and not getting any answers when I finally contacted Debra. It was time to know for sure. I was also under the false impression that my mother was no longer living so when Debra saw my file, found a name and told me she was she alive, I sort of panicked. I hadn't expected to be reaching out to a live person! What if she didn't want to connect, how would I handle that? I decided either way, I wanted to know. This firm was hired by a law enforcement agency after I made a complaint against one of their…read moreofficers for making false claims against me (including accusing me of a crime) under oath. While the officer was off duty during these proceedings, they identify themselves by rank and agency - so, essentially making these statements under the color of authority. The agency chose not to do anything, but sent me a letter blowing me off and saying they did a full investigation. I was never contacted by anyone after making the actual complaint, but a sergeant apparently said they interviewed me on a certain date over the phone. I was contacted to do an interview with Mr. Briones and I gave him all the evidence showing multiple times the officer lied under penalty of perjury in official court proceedings, and gave him proof that the supposed phone interview on the date given by the sergeant didn't happen. He apparently just dropped the investigation, as I never heard from him again even as I was emailing him about the officer continuing to perjure themselves. To this day, the officer's misconduct continues, and it looks like this firm is just as on board with the dishonesty as the department.
