The barbacoa is amazing! Tastes like the real deal. Next time we'll skip the rice and beans and just focus on the barbacoa and consome.

I've been by this place hundred times and never went in because the windows were completely covered…read morewith drapes. They took them down and now I can see inside and decided to have lunch. I don't know if it was a good thing or not. The service was kind of sketch, the police was very plain, and the menu was not very easy to read. I ended up ordering a meat dish and don't know what it was called. It came with rice, beans, coleslaw, tortillas and plantains The rice was good, the coleslaw was good and the sprite was good. This is the first time I ate plantains and did not care for them so much. The coleslaw was excellent. I also didn't care too much for the meat. The flavor was OK, but they were bits of bone in it I wasn't prepared for. Almost broke a tooth. The food was OK and very generous. But I do not think I will return here as it's just not my flavor.

I've never specifically sought out Honduran food before, but I checked out Sabor Catracho based on…read morethe recommendation of a coworker recently. And what a fascinating experience! I'll definitely be returning to try more dishes in the future. I was given explicit instruction to try this dish, and nothing else on my first visit as it's apparently a favorite dish in Honduras. It consists of a bed of fried plantains, topped with a cabbage slaw, fried chicken, and a blend of delicious sauces. It's definitely a shareable dish as you can see from the video I've posted, and it's super delicious! Savor Catracho has a giant dining room painted a very striking Honduran blue. One interesting quirk is that every single chair (not the tables) is bolted to the floor. I've never encountered this before, but the seats were comfortable nonetheless. Check this place out, you won't regret it!

Stopped in for lunch and were really impressed with the food and the overall experience…read more Food: Taco Plate (Pollo/Chicken) - 4.5/5: Fresh, full, and very tasty. The chicken was well-seasoned and juicy. The refried beans were excellent and stood out right away. The rice was also good and rounded out the plate nicely. Quesabirrias - 5/5: These were outstanding. Big, cheesy, and packed with flavor. The consommé dip was rich and deep in flavor, making each bite even better. Very satisfying and easily the highlight. Service: 4/5. The staff was patient, kind, and helpful. As English speakers ordering inside a busy Mexican grocery, we appreciated how they guided us through the menu and made sure our order came out just right. Fast service too. Ambiance: Small cafeteria-style seating inside the market. Simple but clean and comfortable. It worked well for our group of four, and would also fit singles, pairs, and groups up to six. The relaxed, local feel added to the experience. Overall, La Tapatia Market offers great food with generous portions, warm service, and a down-to-earth atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

Only thing I could not find is my crema salvadoreña. But they have had it in the past so fingers crossed they order it again.
