This is great establishment where the staff is always so friendly and attentive. The place is clean and there is even a hand washing station. I love how the Ethiopian culture is highlighted from the videos broadcasted on the tv, art and decor throughout the restaurant. The food was amazing. We got mild spice and it did not disappoint. We got the 4 person meal for 3 of us and there was plenty of left overs. There was a. Assortment of meats and vegetarian options and they were all delicious. My only issue was the injera and some of the sides were cold or close to Lukewarm. I love hot food or at least warm. Also, there is paid street side parking outside.

I ordered a fattoush salad with lemon and they brought me one with vinegar which was sour. The ingredients were not fresh, the tomatoes were soggy and the lettuce was wilted. The falafel had more sesame seeds than chickpea and were nothing like the ones in the picture on the menu, they were miniature little balls. Overall it was a really poor experience. The silverware was dirty the whole restaurant looks dirty and unkept / not maintained well. I was afraid to use their restrooms. The lady serving us was nice and she was the only one working, making drinks and serving the tables. The only good things were the hummus and fresh warm pita and the lemonade with mint.

We asked for 1 order (quantity of 2) lentil sambusa for our vegan friend --a non vegan ate the other one-- & 1 order beef for the meat lovers. Both were very flavorful. For our mains we ordered a vegetarian platter for 2 and a Lamb platter for 2. Veg platter ($35) was probably 2 scoops of the most popular vegetarian orders. Lamb platter ($45) had several of the same vegetables as the other platters. The 5 of us could barely finish the 2 platters. Highly recommend.

She is super friendly and helpful. Your spice level and reasonable modifications are accommodated. I got the awet combo, which typically has beef, lamb, chicken wing + egg and swapped the lamb for chicken breast. I like my food spicy and my combo did not disappoint. My friend is a fan of the veggie combo. The portions and food quality are a great value for the price. Take what you can't (shouldn't?) finish-the leftovers are dreamy, and finish with a pot of the tea to balance out your meal.

So I can see how people can rate them poorly for their service. With that being said, if you're in a hurry-come back another time. When you do visit, sit back and enjoy. The decor is nice. They've done a great job in making this space intimate and upscale. Now. The main thing-the food!! One word: D E L I C I OUS!!!!!!!! Everything we tried was amazing! We sampled the Egusi soup and had to take one to-go. My husband had the fried rice with oxtails and a couple other things (I can't recall). What I do recall is it's delicious! Get it-thank me later. I had the lamb chops with jollof rice and veggies. Some of the best chops I've ever had. I personally am not a fan of jollof rice. But I'm on a quest to find some I do like. But doesn't take away from the meal. Service: they bring the food when it's done. Not all together. But like I said, they don't follow our traditional American culture, but trust me when that food comes to your table you're gonna be happy. I see that they have live music, but I didn't get the schedule so definitely something to check out. This is definitely a place. I can see myself in hubby visiting on a regular basis. There's so many things on the menu that I wanna try. It's gonna take me a few visits to get it done. But don't take my word for it, go check it out and thank me later

The cuts of beef was huge and not flavorful. The peanut stew needed more dimension...I felt the flavor fell flat...good but not amazing. Definitely not spicy at all..maybe a little more salt and some spice I ordered spinach stew/soup with chicken and fish...more tomato based soup. Definitely needed some spicyness it fell flat without some pepper to the stew The fufu was ok...softer and not as elastically as I like fufu Needs Improvement: service staff!!! They had one waitress that knew what she was doing, a white I think maybe manager that was not managing or training the others and 2-3 other waitresses that acted more like food runners then waitress.. We arrived and was seated quickly..got water ordered in decent time...got one drink then took 15 minutes to get the second drink..then the table in front of us received their appetizer before we got ours but they came in 10 min after we did. Then service went down hill...peanut stew came out...okkk We waited 45 minutes..my food never arrived..asked the waitress..I think she forgot to put my order in... Never received the jollof rice we had ordered She came with the kettle and water bowl for us to wash our hands AFTER we ate...sigh
