Amazing! Truly genuinely authentic food, perfect in flavor and seasoning, even the picky eaters in the family enjoyed the food! They dont have much of a menu, but trust me what they do have is all you need! MashAllah hospitality is amazing too. Husband and wife duo, wife does the cooking and the food reminds you of home! There room for Salat, bathroom with Muslim shower, clean and Covid prep. Its not a family restaurant, mainly trucker come for a stop, but family can easily sit and enjoy without getting disturbed.

This was the best Somali restaurant I have eaten at so far..... I was visiting Indianapolis from Texas, when my Somali wife decided to take me to an authentic Somali restaurant. This spot didn't disappoint. The waiter (Mr. Noor) brought us some dishes from the kitchen to try and sample before we ordered our food. The samples were literally a meal. We finally decided on what we were gonna get, I had no idea the amount of food we were about to receive, I was in shock. She got chicken and I got sooqar (which is meat) the chicken was fall off the bone the way you would see at a bbq restaurant but even better. The meat was tender and full of flavor, my mouth was in food heaven. They even brought out another sample for us because they wanted us to try the a different meat that was just fresh off the stove. My wife even went to the kitchen herself (after she was invited back there) to personally tell the wonderful cook Mrs. Hawo how great the food was and that it tasted just like her mothers cooking. We had some Somali tea because I've never tried it and the flavors were out of this world. I truly recommend everyone try this restaurant. Also it's not like a very fancy restaurant but it's also not a whole in the wall restaurant. It was just simply amazing!

I would also review the menu and call ahead to see what they have in stock as they prep ingredients weekly and ran out of some things we were interested in (meat pie, drinks, beef) The restaurant is pretty spacious inside with lots of tables and seating. The servers were friendly and helpful in getting our orders in. We enjoyed the spicy goat appetizer, jollof, fufu, turkey morsel, collar greens and egusi. Overall a great experience.

I would like to stay the first two times were takeout. The first time they were under construction in the pictures online, we're not the building, but I was expecting to pull up to because it was not the same location, but I am leaving a review to talk about last night last night. The restaurant looked nice very beautiful, but upon sitting down the menus with the lighting were so dark I had to pull my light out to see, and I am still very young. I am only 30 and I could not see at all the prices that on the menu do not reflect the prices that are on the bill the food we got which will be pictured came cold, like it had been sitting already prepared, and nobody had grabbed our order. A lot of people were very disappointed. One gentleman had to get up to find a waitress because he had shrimp in his food and was allergic to shrimp. I thought that was very negligent for them not to take note of that there was very little knowledge of the menu so not very much help from the service I was going to eat egusi and fufu like on tiktok Now I must say I'm not an African, but the fool balls were almost dry and old the rice my partner had was smoky and very dry. She stated she does not remember any other restaurant food tasting so dry the smokey flavor ridiculously strong. The egusi, was cold... both entrees COLD.! The bathrooms reeked and walls dirty. You can tell this place has a lot of potential, but I don't know how long they will be in business. Also, they only serve wine. I did not see hookah like it states online in the wine. I believe they had were so overpriced but maybe they were shipped over or something. I am going to give about a three star all the way around because I see the potential in this restaurant, but I had a very bad experience with the Food the lighting the bathroom, tables also dirty we prayed hard over our food it all seemed very unhygienic. but I see a lot of potential. Also, I know there is some cultural differences, but there are certain things that could have been better. I hope someone sees it from the restaurant and does a lot better. and if you are going because you have seen things on TikTok that you might want to try, please do your research first and figure out what you want because you do not have a waitress with the knowledge to be able to help you I would have said that there was a language barrier there, but it also seemed like the people that even spoke, their language were having difficulties as well.

They gave me a lunch portion, two small pieces of chicken in a small to-go bowl. It was so stingy looking! My sister's came in a dinner plate, one whole fish with fried plantains and egusi. She had enough food for two. What??? It started some sibling rivalry. Now I'm mad and still hungry. The flavor was good, but the portions are too small to return. Fix this issue, and this place could succeed. Otherwise, I will have to take my business to Ecko.

I was working and ordered it from a food delivery app. I got the Egusi and added pounded yam. It didn't let me choose the meat but when I received it I figured it was goat. When the food arrived, I was pretty surprised at how small of a portion it was. It came in a Tupperware with just enough to cover the bottom plus a tad more. In the soup were two small pieces of meat. Ehhh. Disappointed but oh well. I tried it and the flavor was AMAZING yet spicy. But not just plain of spicy. It was packed with FLAVOR! I loved it and ate it how they do with my hands with a finger full of the pounded yam. I may try other menu items in the future. Hopefully I get more bang for the buck lol

I was told I could have a seat wherever I liked, and a menu was placed in my table a minute later with a glass of water. There were an array if meat and vegetarian options, including combination platters. I ordered the 2 mushroom and 2 cabbage and carrot sambusas, they came with spicy green sauce which was delicious. The mushroom was my favorite! I asked hot many of the vegetables were included with the combo for 1, and was happy to find the ALL of them did -which most places limit your options. It wasn't a long wait before my sambusa to come out. And I had time to eat 2 Bru yesterday my meal arrived. The spread look bright and delicious, my taste buds agreed. The host/owner perhaps, kindly gave me a military discount without me asking and thanked me for my service. When I went to pay he asked how everything was, again. I told him everything was wonderful, and I'd definitely be back!
